Luccia's brother was a brilliant scientist who personally worked on Grobyc, intending to create a cybernetic lifeform. The Porre military sought to outfit Grobyc for warring purposes; Luccia's brother continued his research, though Grobyc's purpose now conflicted with his original intentions. The blast at the Porre lab killed her brother, as he sacrificed his life to save Grobyc, who eventually notified Luccia of his generosity (though these lines were strangely left out of the game where they should appear).
