Lavos, the Planet, and other Entities / Re: Does Lavos communicate?

He may not have realized they were dangerous... or Lavos has some extreme ADHD... I doubt the first three, but heck its Lavos.  He has issues regardless.

True.  Any yet, it seems that innovative games can be the least popular.
Thats because people are stupid and don't want to try new stuff.
And unfortunately, stupid people are a very large demographic.
SEGA isn't exactly popular now, is it? Therefore they are going the different direction; becoming what they were before. Innovative. Hopefully now Sonic Team make something good. And not Astro Boy.
A new NiGHTs game would be good...  But simply after DC died SEGA just fell down... really down. I mean Sonic Adventure II (Not Battle... well it was good probably but the DC was better cuz of VMU!) was an amazing game.

There must be someway you defeat him without using ayla because i defeated him with Crono Glenn and Magus... somehow.

He can communicate... but what was he saying... for all we know he could be saying, "I like potatoes!" or "Pink is a pretty color!" or
"Crono, why are you attacking me in a positively barbaric and primitive matter? I am positive we can compromise and resolve our differences without fighting! Why not settle it over a pot of tea, old chap?"
or
"DIE HUMAN BASTARDS!"
or he could have stubbed his genetically enhanced toe as stated earlier.

Maybe Lavos telepathically put those thoughts in your brain? :P
When you approach the Lavos core for the first time, Lavos appears to be like, "humans? here? what?".

Also, when you beat him and move to the drill bit battle, he again seems to grunt and gets pissed as he transforms.

I always thought I knew exactly what it was thinking when my party arrived. A gut instinct.

:lee:

heh

Well what was your expression as to the sounds Lavos was making...

EDIT:
Alien subsonic screech?  Maybe it was telling host world he was going to accomplish.

General Discussion / Re: Nintendo Wii

Man I can't believe I am saying this... but:

Burning Zeppelin is the only one out of any of you who sounds like an intelligent person.

Ok I know it may sound strange, but its fact.  Wii = a great name for a population who has some what of a brain.  America is not that kind of population.  It showed that when it only wanted blood thirsty FPS and nothing else (Except Madden '04 ).  Fact is Wii dominated E3. It massacred every other console.
I have said it once and shall say it again:

Wii won.

Generalizations! Generalizations and Damnation, I say!

FPSs are popular because it's easy for anyone to understand very quickly. Along w/a strong multi-player aspect which has garnished a heavy online following, and the fact that it's become more than just a computer's game (unlike RTSs) by making solid transitions on various current-gen consoles.

Too bad about that whole EA thing and them crapping out shoddy games now since they have all those sports liscences or whatever...That's my only take on that subject really. But I think most sports games got too advanced for me after Tecmo Superbowl on SNES...

>_>
Its not just popular, its wiped out grand scale of the RPG market... the only games people want to play now are Halo 2 or GTA...  Most people don't even know what Final Fantasy is...  Sophisticated games like RPGs apparently dont appeal to the common people, unless it is bloody, gorey, and has slutty women.

Thats just annoying...
But Sonic I have been wanting for years... As well as Magus...  but Sonic will be good too, as long as Tails and Knuckles are added too.

Zaperking's points make the most sense...  I agree also, because it teleports you right to Lavos to face him in the PD.

YAY WII!

Yeah... I plan on getting the Wii, the console of CT seeing as we have the ingenious Virtual Console.  Plus even w/o  virtual console, I want LoZ Twilight Princess so bad.  I nearly had a stroke when I first saw it...  And of course with Red Steel, Metroid Prime Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (METAKNIGHT AHHHHHHHHHH! and of course Solid Snake, I wish they would add Sonic chars and Chrono chars but nothing is perfect), Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Wii Version (Man that remake is beastly the Gunship scene, wow it took me by suprise), and Fire Emblem.
Plus price wise they are the best, and their games will not go over $50.  And the innovation.  I mean the Wii = the king of innovation. THE KING!  Motion sensitivity to a whole new level, speaker inside control, WiiConnect24 or whatever, I mean its amazing!  I could care less about gfx, GFX seems to always detract from gameplay...  I mean lets look at Square-Enix... Under SNES possibly the best games of Square was created, but by PS2... well it started to look down.
And PS3 you stole motion sensitivity from the Wii, don't deny it. Tilt is crap btw Sony, true motion sensitivity is where Wii is at.

Wii won.

I hated Seph... and I really hate people who view him as "OMFGZORZ HE BE WAY 1337ZORZ THAN TEH n00bZORZ MAGUS! ROFLMFAO!"
...
Magus was infinitely times better than Seph... if not in actual fighting, he is much better as a character.  Seph just screams to me, "OMFG I AM THE EVIL BASTARD SEPH! PHEAR ME NOOBZ!"  Magus says, "Get in my way, I kick your ass.  And then I kick it again just for laughs.  And if fate tries to goddamn stop me, I kick its dumass."
Plus I know people who believe they are Seph (one who wishes to marry Tifa)... and they creep the shit out of me.  Part of the reason I will probably never touch FF7... Kefka was way cooler than Seph...  and Kefka was more of a Yakra or Ozzie character (or even Zeal) than Magus.  Magus didn't go around
*OMG SPOILERZ*

pouring poison in lakes and killing an entire castle like that...

*OMG NO SPOILERZ*
Magus would just plain blast the shit out of the soldiers guarding the castle and kill the royal family had he wanted to.  But we all know he really could care less about Zenan politics...

When was Cyrus a boss? Or anything to fight, at that matter?

Glenn's sidequest on the ruins in Choras (Check me if I right on the town).  You face a heavily armored guy... I forgot how you were supposed to beat him again, but it basically cleansed the Masamune and re-enegrized it with new vigor and strength.  The critical rate becomes like 70%.  What a beastly sword that is...

The Necromancy that always pissed me off was in the Guardia Prison.  You know the guys who looked like they were in rags but were really dead....  I wonder if Yakra XIII set up those traps to stop people from meddling.  After all Yakra XIII managed to infiltrate the entire castle...

Lets get this straight... what are we defining as a brain?  And we are assuming Lavos Core is a vertebrate seeing as he is homonoid right?

59
He is. *gives GreenGannon an evil glare and chews some grass.* Baaa.
Sounds kinky.
anything is possible!
Even Adam and Eve :)

Its all perspective.  To Lavos it seemed like we were sheep and sheep rebelling against its sheperd seems absurd.  To us Lavos seemed like the parasite, and it should not dare to enter our planet like that. Animals and nature may view us as the parasite, wasting away precious resources, but we see them as inferior beings that we have the right to control.

Yes I agree. It's all a matter of how something views another thing.
I dunno, I've never had a sheep gain a brain and try to kick my ass.
Who says Lavos has a brain? wind rustling leaves
Who says you have a brain...? j/k... kinda.
We assume he does well, I dunno... he was intelligent enough to  destroy a 2 super modern empires and destroy the world...  He knew what he was trying to do.

Magic, Elements, and Technology / Re: Spekkio...
« on: May 11, 2006, 06:43:18 pm »
Entity always seemed to be a helluva a lot higher than Spekkio... and personally I don't believe Spekkio really was a god.  Gods usually have a greater control over events and I doubt Spekkio had that much power...
