Chrono News / Re: Chrono Cross out on PSN
« on: March 14, 2012, 09:26:07 am »
Hi, sorry to post something completely irrelevant in the wrong topic -- it's been 5 years since my last login and I can't remember how to start a new thread on this site.

Anyway, I know most people won't like this song, but it IS still Chrono related. It's by the hip-hop artists Wiz Khalifa and Rick Ros, and is a sequel song to one he did a couple years back. The beat, god knows where he got it from (can anyone find out where he got these instrumentals?) is from Chrono Trigger, and samples secret of the forest. Here is the youtube link:

Here is the original song, part 1, which samples Schala's theme:

ok, I'm sorry, but I have to say this. I'm more of a reader on this forum than a poster, I find it more interesting to see other peoples points on the game. But EVERY thread I read that auratwilight is in, he/she just writes something that is completely poking or antagonizing. I remember reading a post the other day where she/he was "debating with someone" about something or other about the entity (which I don't always use as an excuse like a lot of people do haha), and aura kept quoting lines from him and ripping each one apart. it was like "no, thats where we draw the line...." and I think it ended in something like "I hate you already tata"
Then I came across THIS thread, and I read someone post this
" ...the Zeal family lineage might have actually been a different family lineage than the Guardia family lineage..." , which is trying to contribute to the conversation, and she/he comes along and says
"No duh, we've known that for years."
Alright, maybe not everyone who comes here comes on 23 hours a day to insult every "noob" (such a stupid word) comment that is posted, I'm sure there are people who are new to the game, excited to discuss and converse in subjects that you may already have talked to death. THEN I see her ( I'm gonna call her a her now, cause she always posts like she has pms or something) post something that was deleted by graylensman... I didn't see what it was, but I can only imagine it was something that involved cursing, insulting a "noob" and ending with some incredibly stupid like "something a splode" (whatever tf that means) and "pwnt".
Although this will sound largely hypocritcal after all that I have just stated, if you can't say something nice, don't say it. I wouldn't normally come out and attack someone like this all the time like you do, I'm only doing it because I think it needs to be said. I'm saying all of this because you dont have to be such a bitch to everyone. This is a great site, and what it DOESN'T need is someone like you coming on the forums and trying to "Pwn" everyone with stabs at their intelligence, especially if they are new to the chrono series. I just don't see anything positive that she contributes to the forums ever, only negative posts. Try to act your age and be civil once in a while, internet beef is pointless.

I really feel like adding something like "Btw... PWNT"... but that would just be rubbing it in.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / tech rocks
« on: September 01, 2005, 08:05:30 pm »
Just a small question:

I found the black rock a little bit ago in my game on ct, and I cant remember (it's been a year since I last beat ct) how to make it work.
I tried equipping it on magus, is it supposed to automatically be a triple tech when you have it equipped, or do you have to earn a bunch of tech points before its actually available. I have it equipped on magus, and lucca and marle are both in my party and I can't use it yet.

I think its great. I agree with the glenn dialogue thing, and maybe a little with the npcs offering a little aid with the quest objectives, but other than that it was fine. I dont think forgetting what to do is an excuse xenesis because it wasnt that big of a demo, and if you talk to everyone you can get it all done. The music is pretty good too, Im not very fond of the music in the cathedral or fionas shrine though. Other than that, it was kinda weird that the bottom left of cronos house took you to the end of the demo, im sure it was a mistake though.
All in all though, I cant WAIT to play this. It looks great :)

"Good thing that wasnt my mom!"

You see auratwilights super annyoing signature pic thats almost even more annyoing than the previous anime animation one, and for some reason just those pictures, and not actually aura really really really really get on your nerves, they just look stupid to you.

Chrono Compendium Discussion / Evil Compendium....

No need to apologize at all daniel; I can respect the stuff you enjoy discussing, even if I dont understand one sixth of it probably   . I can tell you are a thoughtful individual who knows his stuff, and I have no problem at all with you indulging in conversations. I couldn't tell you anything about ancient history, unless you want me to give a review of the movies alexander, king arthur, and troy, which I'm sure can't all be thoroughly accurate anyways. Half of the names you talk about I couldn't respond to either, as Ive only vaguely heard of them. As for theology, I couldn't even give you a proper definition, let alone discuss it, as well as etymology, what is that? Platonic, Aristotilian philosophies; I also know nothing of.

I consider myself a person of average intelligence, I'm just not familiar with most of the subjects you seem to like to talk about. I'm also only 17, so I haven't been to university yet to take any of these courses or gain any wisdom about them. (I know, I could easily look them up on the internet, I'm just not interested enough I guess :/ )

It's cool to see something that someone is so passionate about (would that be the word you would use to describe when it comes to you talking about myth and ancient history?) because I am the same way in other subjects, like chrono trigger of course; and where you are proficient in tolkien's work, I would be similar to Terry Goodkind's work, (Sword of Truth fantasy novel series, somewhat comparable to Tolkien; Btw people, if you like to read, I highly suggest him!) although I doubt I'd be able to elaborate as... intricately or thoroughly as you would with your subjects.

Anyways, thanks for clearing it up, yes, I am new to the site, this is my third week I think. Again, I didn't mean to stab at you with my comment, I just noticed that you talked about a lot of things in that field. Thanks.
