Characters, Plot, and Themes / About Starky
« on: January 14, 2005, 09:42:46 am »
I always thought Starky was sent from his planet to Earth to help Serge defeat the Time Devourer. Being that it evolved from the alien, Lavos, maybe Starky was to destroy it. I always thought of Lavos as being a biological weapon sent by a villian/evil society to destroy worlds. Maybe Starky and his kind are battling this evil to protect other planets as well as their own. That's at least what I like to  believe.

*Edit: What if there are an army of Lavos's that destroy planets? Then there would be a ton of em. I always felt the same way with JENOVA from FF7.......what i there is a ton of JENOVA's out there in space? Whose to say that another Lavos won't land in the CT/CC world or another JENOVA won't fall from the sky into the FF7 world?*

Characters, Plot, and Themes / About demi-humans and Mystics
« on: November 09, 2004, 08:27:42 pm »
Now at the end of CC don't the dimensions unify into one timeline, unaffected by the Time Devourer? If this is true aren't the demi-humans wiped out and couldn't the same be said for the mystics?? I might be confused or lost....can someone enlighten me on this. Thanks!!

History, Locations, and Artifacts / The Frozen Flame
« on: November 05, 2004, 10:15:25 am »
This is just a thought that popped into my head.........by all means discredit it or agree with it if ya want to:

Reading the quote from the above post made my Starky.....i'll requote it:

"Wouzer!
Out of this world...!
The light of the big bang!
All start from here and all ends here...
What lies beyound that...? "

Now this quote led me to come up with a reasonable (In my opinion) theory about why Lavos/TD couldn't destroy the Frozen Flame. It couldn't because the Frozen Flame was far more powerful than it. Starky talks about the light of the Big Bang, leading me to speculate that the Frozen Flame may very well be a byproduct of the big bang or what caused the Big Bang in the first place. What do you all think??

Oh and another mystery this has led me too....If Starky is from outer space then is it possible that many Lavos's have destroyed many planets? And maybe Starky is on a mission to find a way to destroy them? Maybe Starky is not letting his true motives be known? Starky has always been an enigma to me. Also maybe Starky knows about where the origin of all the Lavos's is (maybe some higher being is using these Lavos's for a greater scheme...I always thought that maybe this "higher being" manipulated the events of CT and CC to find a way [maybe get a genetic code] to create a creature more powerful than it's army of Lavos's??)

Well i hope that this speculation will led to more findings and theories!!

History, Locations, and Artifacts / Questions about Reptites and Zeal!!
« on: October 19, 2004, 10:53:20 pm »
Ok......so I decided to go through Chrono Trigger again because I'm in the process of writing a fan-fic and wanted as much information answered as possible (and if it has no answer than I want to make my own answer for it in my fan-fic). Anyway, I found many unanswered questions revolving around the Reptites and Zeal that I was hoping to get answers to, or even speculation on the questions...but here they are:

Reptites:

(1)   How did the Reptites become so much more advanced than Ayla's people?

(2)   How does Azala know about Lavos's landing, and also how did he know that it would bring the end of the Reptites about? (The reason I ask this is because of this section of text from the game spoken by Azala's....it is as follows: "No...It can't be...! Could the heavens truly have sided with the apes? Listen, primates, and let it be known. We Reptites fought to the bitter end! Soon stones of fire will rain down. Flames shall scorch the land. The burned-out plains will slowly freeze, ushering in a long, cruel ice age. Mwa, haha...What a treat! You will wish you went along with us! The future...We...have no future...")

(3) This doesn't really tie in to this but Where did Lavos come from (like what planet, are there more of it's species, was it created by some other creature/entity)?

Zeal:

(1)   Why are Nu's abundent in Zeal (more so than in any other era)?

(2)   Why does Queen Zeal forbid the planting of the sapling (other plants too) and the use of any elemental weapon/energy source?

(3)   How does Zeal float? (Not really important.....just buggs me)

(4)   Where does Schala get her extraordinary magical powers (I ask this for 2 reasons. One reason is that Janus doesn't have these skills inherently. My second reason is what 2 Zeal citizens said, both from Kajar. One said, "Schala's an incredible child who has extraordinary magical powers" and another said, "I heard Schala's powers far exceed those of her mother"...........Now if she didn't get all her magical powers from Queen Zeal then did she receive them from her father or was it both King & Queen Zeal's magic passed down that gave Schala her extraordinary powers OR was it neither, was she really of the Zeal bloodline [adopted maybe?])

(5)   How did Zeal get so technologically advanced?

(6)   Is Lavos's power infinite? (Some citizens state this....just wonderin' if it has any value)

(7)   Does the Mammon Machine draw and magnify the power of Lavos (This question comes from one Zeal citizens' comment about the Mammon Machine...the citizen stated, "The Mammon Machine...it draws and magnifies the infinite power of Lavos")?

- Well that's all of them...thanks for your time I'll be checkin' back soon! -

Kajar Laboratories / Some unnamed rubbish of mine.

I normally hate reading anything unless it interests me.......with that said..........For the first time in a long time, I was impressed by the selection you posted. The story revolves around  one of my favorite characters, Schala and I'm glad you decided to portray her in less of a "doom and gloom" fashion than I'm used to reading and it was a very refreshing change. Also, your story-telling skills are well above-average and the plot was well thought out. All in all, I loved reading your story and cannot wait to continue reading it. And also, thank you for showing me what my story may be lacking.

It wasn't until I started writing my story based on CT and CC that I began to think about this....how does the Epoch travel through time without tons of energy to power it up? It's got to have some sort of fuel so to speak that keeps it going back and forth through time and not to mention flying. I know the game never speaks of it (and if it did I missed it!)....but I was wondering if the games did or what everyone here thinks.
