Rurouni Kenshin.

One of my favorite anime series.

I watched the first two episodes today to fill in some nostalgia, and I cannot stop.

Hahahaha! I love how many Ruroken fans there are here.

I read the manga(something I never do) a couple of months ago when I was down with the flu and didn't feel like picking a fight on here, and while I still prefer the animated medium, the manga did justice to the series that the anime simply did not, even when two OVAs and a motion picture were made. Enishi may not be as cool a villain as Shishio, but the Jinchuu Arc is definitely worth the transition to the written medium.

...It appears I went into fanboy mode for a moment there. Apologies all around.

Iconoclasm. It might take me a bit of realize that something is legitimately iconoclastic rather than just craptastic, but once I do, I tend to love it even if for no other reason. Questioning assumptions tends to be quite interesting.

Sanosuke Sagara is my favourite anime character ever.  <3 <3 <3

I also love Sojiro Seta.  What an adorable little almost-sociopath.

Also, sharing Doctor Who with someone new. It brings a warmth to my heart to spread the good word of The Doctor, our Time Lord and Savior.

Time Lord and Savior?

I've heard of watching something religiously, but isn't this pushing it?

I love the manga, and I read it whenever I can get a copy. The OVA's are great, in my opinion. I grew up with the series, so...one of my favorites. That and Yu-Yu Hakusho.

Very true.  RK is simply THE best manga series I've ever read.  Period.

I own the sword used by the wanderingt swordsman.

I own all 28 volumes of the manga series.

I even own half of the episodes on DVD.

Which would you like to see first?

Y-y-you have a Sakabato? THE SAKABATO? I MUST HAVE IT.

 :franky

I've wanted that reverse edge since I was little.

All the symbolic stuff in RTD's scripts is getting to you too much.

Not at all. He IS a Time Lord, he died to save humanity, and he rose again... going on nine times, so far, with a tenth in the near future.

What can I say, I'm a JaWHOva's Witness.

Seattle is the best city in the history of cities. I had a salami, a cheese, a duck, and a lamb sandwich. The bus and Linklight transit tunnels are so amazing, too, it's like something out of a sci fi movie!

Also J is awesome. His Lordship certainly deserves the praise he has been demanding these past few NetYears(tm).

Ah, yes! Zephira and I hung out on Friday here in Seattle. I wrote about that in my journal but I think I neglected to mention it here. I get such a kick out of the fact that she is even more of a meat fiend than I am. She bought a whole roast duck from Uwajimaya!

More of you need to move out to Seattle.

Yes! Move to Seattle and partake in the duck!

Speaking of which, that duck was really quite delicious. I had a nice dinner sharing it with just my mom, dogs, and step-dad. The dogs got the beak, brain and tongue. That thing was tremendously greasy, but the seasonings on it were just sublime. Still, it's better in small quantities, and it certainly doesn't compare to lamb!
I have also just remembered that I have had lamb (or something like it) before. The various Gyros restaurants in the area use mostly lamb in their gyros. I suppose I just couldn't remember the flavour because of how well the sauce masked it.

There is a dog digging in the middle of the bed and trying to "rescue" my foot from the blankets. Rosie is the most adorable weirdo to ever live.
