Other Topics and the Prerelease / Re: Alpha version Crono sprite?
« on: May 04, 2008, 11:04:54 pm »
Has anybody seen this video? I know there was an article from a magazine posted, but this is actual footage from the the alpha version.
Good old '94.  The overworld 1000 AD was totally revamped.  They even had airplanes in the alpha...

...I have done thats its kinda easy. Classic controller is a must for emulators.
You have remotely controlled a car with the Wii Remote?

Ah, nothing like the Kingdom of Zeal.  Ever since I first played Chrono Trigger, I've wanted to visit that place.  It's beautiful, it's advanced, it's magical.  To top it all off, it's a floating island!  One can either sit back and relax, or spend your time simply focused on whatever developments one is developing.  It's a beautiful utopia...until the corruption.

Second choice is either Magus' Castle, or End of Time.

Ah yes, that video.

It isn't really on the Wii.  Rom on the computer, using a TV as a monitor, and a program that lets the Wii remote function as whatever you want it to be.

I want it to remotely control my car.

Starbucks is consistently ranked inferior to a few others in a blind taste test. It's all retarded chic.

SO:TTEOT never kept my attention, the story could move just a bit[/i faster. Other then that a was not impressed with the combat, or the inventing system.
Star Ocean: The Second Story is so much better than Star Ocean: Till The End of Time.

I still need to play Xenogears.

And I'm hoping an english port comes to us!

I almost bought me an Entertron.  Then I got a cup of coffee.

I hate when the general populace acts in such a stupid manner.  It's almost like a hive-mind.  Except in a not-working-out sense.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Re: Crono's Age?
« on: May 04, 2008, 02:23:14 am »
I don't take into account any of the TOIE stuff as being canon really, myself...Otherwise there's just the chibi stuff that obviously can't be used to determine the ages of any of the characters really...Also, I don't think that even if he is fairly young that it would matter in his culture to get married...I mean, it's not like we know what the age restrictions are for the Chronoverse, right? It's just up in the air so people can relate to him & better put their own personalities (a cookie to whoever can tell me what word I'm looking for there) to the silent protagonist.
The ageless works for any age.  It's like how there was an uproar about all the Final Fantasy's being about teenagers falling in love and that somehow made them save the world.  If there is no age, anyone from the young teens to the adults can relate.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Re: Nu in Cursed Woods?

but of course the nu's very nature is DRASTICALLY different than the role of WEAPONS.
Tis true.  But they both seem to be the "protectors" of the planet.  One just goes about it differently than the other.  Their names fit their roles, however.  Nu's just kinda..."yeah, whatever. hello there".  WEAPONS? they kill stuff.

I didn't say they were being paid by Guardia in exchange for protecting the treasures...I just said they were allowed to populate the treasury...Not that they control them, it's just that the treasury was sort of just left in ruin...to keep in more in secret...?

As for what you're talking about Boo...Yeah, I don't think time travel works that way in the series...>_>
Ah, that makes more sense.  That was no shiny treasury...When I think treasury, I see

I knew there had to be a thread for it, but I couldn't find it.

Yeah I always thought Doreen/Entity manipulated it.  Crono and Marle might not have gone on their date had they not ran into each other and she dropped the pendant.  By Marle getting lost in time, Crono's instinct is to find her.  He would need the pendant to do this.  It seems someone saw this coming.

Thanks for the link.  And I would say lock this thread so we can go with that one, but it's like 2 months old, and the discussion has turned to robots?  Mods, your choice.
