http://www.midishrine.com/index.php?id=5 might help.  It has midi files for CT music.  You can play it in the background while you're on the forums?

Crono, Mammon Machine, Belthasar?

Is Magus really all that cool?

He's not my #1, that spot is saved for a special someone (Crono).  However, Magus takes second in my eyes.  Instead of rushing to rescue the fair maiden, or time (as the case may be), Magus takes his time and broods over things.  He's a thinker, and as stated before, great at revenge.  Spending roughly half the game as the main villain, then turning around and becoming the anti-hero certainly brought a twist to my first runthrough.  He's magic-based yet strong physically, he (imo) hid his powers from the rest of Zeal, and has so many damn cool lines.

As for my ultimate party:

Crono
Frog
Magus

As for the Valkerye, I don't think I have it yet.  Never checked then went to the future.  I just skipped over it.  Whoops.  How forgetful.  Well, her magic power is high...

Wow, this is the first forum that members actually supported thread necromancy.  Everywhere else I go you hear "it's dead for a reason".  Well, if I shoot your grandmother in the back of the ear and she dies, the reason she dies is because someone shot her ear off.  Does she deserve to be dead?  Probably not.  It just kinda happened.  Oops.

(yes, I realize I am currently bumping the thread [oh the irony?])

Anyway, glad to hear you support the dark arts, and I'm off to...wait a minute...Why is it necromancy, when Life2 is a water spell?

I remember my first trek up Death Peak.  I saw a Lavos Spawn and could only think "aww hell..."  After the first counterattack, I tried the mouth instead of the shell, and killed him rather easy.  lol took me by suprise, it did.

Haha scared me for a minute.  "here's these cool userbars" and I see nothing.  Thought I was a day late to the parade...

Be sure to check out the various fan projects that are going on in the forums -- there's Crimson Echoes, a full-fledged sequel to Chrono Trigger, and a multitude of other projects. That's what I love so much about the Compendium; it's practically a fanwork nursery.
Excellent.

I AM IRON MAN!

Anyone seeing this movie this weekend?
I'll be seeing it before all of you!  8)

Well, looks like I'm the new guy here.  So I'll introduce myself.

Been playing games since I got a NES for my first birthday.  Chrono Trigger was the first RPG I happened upon, and I've been hooked ever since.  I work at a movie theater so I see quite a few of those.  Currently studying Network Security/Philosophy.

How did I come across Chrono Compendium?  Well, I was searching for images (of the Mammon Machine) for my http://hwebsite.faithro.net/, and I found this.  After reading up on a few theories and descriptions, I was hooked.  So, here I am.

If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to ask.
