The Carpenter of Choras is actually two people; one works in the Middle Ages, and his descendant works in present times. While the elder aspires during 600 A.D. to repair the Northern Ruins, he lost his tools. Crono borrows his descendant's tools and lends them out, letting the Carpenter and his fellows complete repairs for several fees. Both are legendary drunks, though this was censored in the English translation.
