Um... I'm vivify93. You can call me vivify if you want. I've lurked here a while, mainly in the Kajar Laboratories board. I finally joined because I wanted to show off my font-making skills. There's not much to say. I like Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Radial Dreamers. To be honest, I don't really like the Chrono community, and tend to stay away from it because of all the misunderstandings and blatant oversights regarding the two title games. Plus a few completely batshit loco people, but I digress. I'm not good at hacking anything, so I won't be starting any projects. The most I can do is make and edit good fonts...

I hope to have a good time here and get along with everyone.

I remember ghosting both this forum and GameFAQs for years and dreaming of becoming one of those "batshit loco people." And then it happened.

Yeah, I haven't been around long enough to be a thorough judge, but everybody's been pretty cool. I can definitely vouch for Faust's integrity.

Uh, sure.

New menu font inspired by the Bahamut Lagoon and Tales of Phantasia SNES versions of Final Fantasy VI's menu font. I made it so that the two fonts would match and so that CT would be a little less Final Fantasy.


My miniscule dialogue font edits. New ones on top, old ones on bottom.

How difficult is it to implement a new font in the CT ROM? I might be interested in snagging that for something if justin3009 hasn't already for the Schala project.

For the 8x8 fixed width font, it's not that hard. I used YY-CHR, so I simply turned on the 2BPP GB setting, which allows you to see the entirety of the font block. The block itself is at 3F9000. As for the 12x12 variable width font, you need to edit the leveling and the width and all kinds of stuff, and I have no idea how that's controlled, heh. My simple edits convieniently don't require such modifications. Anyway, it's located at 3F3100 and ends at 3F4200.

Nope, this font was made for my personal usage only, so you go ahead. If you want, I can PM you the modified 8x8 font block.

I refer to people that are overly...difficult with the series but still claim to like one of them 'fanboys'...The Compendium is the true community...as far as I'm concerned, anyways...:P
