Most Reliable Wonder Rock?

Is there a particular location in which the Wonder Rock can be reliably found and quickly dispatched of?

I encountered one soon after I accepted the quest, in Northen Forest(?).

Really? Interesting. Which era and what part of the forest? Thanks. I've also heard that they exist in the 1000AD DV, but I have yet to confirm that.

Where you right the golden hammer.

-----------

I forget whether it was 600A.D. or 65000000 B.C.

There is an area in one of the DVs as well...It's in Marle's I believe...There's an area where you fall down and then there's a lot of slidey areas after that, right before you fall (but after the fight with 6 skeletons) you can fight a Wonder Rock...I fought a few going back & forth trying to go through all of the different paths (which all but one led in a circle at a point earlier in the DV...V_V)...

In the 12,000 B.C. Dimensional Vortex, there's a place where you fight a (forced) battle with 4 skeletons. Just after that, I sometimes encounter the Wonder Rock. I've fought it a total of five times, and four of those five times it's been in that spot (the fifth time was on Mount Emerald).

I just found it in that spot last night, twice. I've only seen the thing three times total. The first time was on Mount Emerald and, not knowing what it was, I did not get to kill it before it escaped. Anyone looking to get a hold of the Lumicite, I suggest that spot in the 12000 BC Vortex.

Really? There's a high spawn rate for Wonder Rocks in that area? I've only seen two or three, I think. One or two I saw on Emerald Mountain, (I got the Lumicite, but I don't think I beat them...) Then I saw one in that spot but I fell down the slope before I could fight it. :(

I find it's much more time-efficent to simply grind Red Ghaj in the Present Vortex, though. You need to spend about 5 minutes or so to get a Wonder Rock to spawn, yet in that time, you can get about twice as much exp or so from Red Ghaj, which are guaranteed to spawn...

It could just be that people spend so much time falling down and climbing up the mountain in Antiquity that it seems like a higher spawn rate. I guess the best way is to just go about your business and, eventually, you'll find one.

Ah, it is called Millennia Wood...

Anyway, did anyone met it there?

I have, but it ran away as soon as the battle started.

I've only encountered one.

It was on a ledge in the DV area where it plays Singing mountain. (Frozen Cliffs or some such)

I ran into it just because it looked like a new enemy, and i always dodge rocks, so i figured id give it a shot. Was happy i did.

Yeah, I can't decide whether it's faster/more XP to fight the double Red Ghaj's in the present DV or the double Snow Beasts at the end of the Antiquity DV. The Snow Beasts seem faster, as I can kill them in one Luminaire and they're quicker to respawn. May be the new, quickest area in the game to gain XP.
