Need help with avatar.

So anyways I posted my avatar in my sig just to show you what it is *supposed* to looks like.

I was editing some of my profile information and clicked "change profile" and my picture glitched. It had gotten stuck on the first frame. (picture one)

And the picture field doesn't even recognize it... (picture two)
Yet when I put the picture in the field it appears, but doesn't save. (picture three)

What is happening and can somebody help me?

Oh, I didn't read it right...I thought you were just talking about the attachments...*heh heh* Sorry...Maybe it's a size issue? I forget the requirements & what-not...

It would appear thats a partially correct answer. It seems only a ridiculously small frame count will work (2 frames or so...) It never did it before I added information to the location field (won't fix it if I remove the information.)

Yes, I had a 24 frame animation working.

I tried removing my personal text, didn't work. In addition, I even removed all of my personal info, tried refreshing the picture, and it still didn't work.

Don't worry I'm not considering removing the Dak'kon quote. Three words: Planescape: Torment *rules*.

Yeah, mine's only got, like, what? 8 frames? Plus it's tiny...60x60 or something...Just simplify the icon or something! *shrugs*

All this talk got me playing Torment again, and I see you just got a new avatar.

Keep the dimensions 100x100 or less. The avatar you were using was wider than that, so the forum software was replacing it with a scaled down version that it downloaded to the server and generated, but the scaling software can't handle animated gifs properly, so the animation stopped working.

Thanks for the info.  I wasn't sure if it was the file size of the number of frames that was causing it. It  didn't even cross my mind that it would be image scale (such a simple solution...).
