Chrono Trigger Mixtape released w/out DJ Epoch
« on: October 22, 2005, 03:53:04 pm »
Compromised have released the version of the CT Mixtape without DJ Epoch (who was a humorous jab at riduculous mixtape MCs), and have made it available for download. Stay tuned for the instrumental versions; additionally, more material will come after those in a few weeks.

A new FAQ is also up at the bottom of the page. You can get both the new version and the FAQ at http://www.chronotriggermixtape.com/

Though Symphonic and the big surprise are currently taking up most of my time, I've got an interview with Celestia organizer in the works thanks to D.Radium, and I may be able to sit down with compromised of the mixtape. Stay tuned for new developments!

I downloaded the original with DJ Epoch.  I liked it, but two things:

1) DJ Epoch was unnecessary and annoying at points.
2) He totally prounced "Epoch" incorrectly.

That was entirely the point, which is why they released the non-DJE version.

I have to say that I would probably like the Milkshake one if JC hadn't made the Burn! Bobonga! track a key higher, especially since it's actually a key too high for the dubbed vocals, and it sounds terrible. This means that the normal key of Burn! Bobonga! was the right key for the Milkshake vox. Rather funny discovery, makes me question JCs...

...never mind o_O The mixing and beats were quite well done, actually.

Probably 'E-Poch' instead of 'epuck'...Unless there's some mysterious other way to mispronounce it, which I wouldn't be surprised about...>_>

DJ Epoch says it like "E-Potch", I say it like "E-Pock", "eh-puck" is how you say "epic". Epoch is open for interpretation in my opinion.

At least this isn't as dumb of an argument as my best friend and I had once about the pronunciation of Chocobo. He was convinced it was cho-CO-bo, and I was like "uh, no; it's CHO-co-bo". Then when FFX came out and proved me right, he turned the tables and said it had been the opposite the whole time. Silly kid.

Then again, I think Hermione had everyone confused. I was convinced it was hermy-own, lol. My uncle still defends it jokingly, outright against the film. It's funny.

Isn't Epoch, pronounced e-poch (as in, "pocky," for all you japanophiles), the way it's pronounced in French (the language it roots in)? If so, than that is right; all other ways = fail >_>.

LO AND BEHOLD FOR I BRING UNTO YE NEWS OF MY AMAZING AWESOMENESS!!!

Yeah, after a very long download (over 4 hours!!!), I managed to dl the mixtape. I got the non-dj version because i didn't want to risk not liking it  a whole lot or something...But anyways, it's still pretty funny w/just the concept...
