You get some good views of the monster irregardless of the shaky-cam, enough to piece it together. I figured out what the thing looked like before the big close up. Speaking of that scene, you mean to say that there's NO WAY that they didn't see it coming? I mean, the OPEN?
Another question I have is when the bridge gets taken out. Again, no one saw it coming? No panic whatsoever? No military warning that it's coming their way? It was a planned evacuation with a helicopter overhead, so no fool grabbed a bullhorn and screamed, "IT'S TRAP!" Which brings me back to my point: you can't disguise a 250 ft. monster. Not without taking certain liberties.
