The note in the Sewers 2300 A.D. now says

Quote from: Note
I'm through. I can't take any more of this. The fishmen attack if I make even the slightest noise. If I knew things would be like this, I'd have taken the guillotine any day of the week. Think I'll go out with a good, loud scream- see how the soggy freaks like that!

Strange how they note that about the guillotine. It first led me to believe Fritz may have written that note, but it's impossible he could be alive after 1300 years. Oh well.

*adds it*

Guess it just means he was due for execution and running from it.

Well I'm not gonna list every change but just the stuff I think is pretty significant

- The head equipment "Beret" has once again been changed to "Porrean Beret", sold at the Market in Porre.

In the extras menu, I noticed a brand new song or two plays in the background (but they aren't selectable in the jukebox-type feature).

I REALLY like the beastiary that shows the enemies, it lists every enemy's attack and techs and puts names to them.

This version trumps the psx version so badly in every way...
The graphics are perfect, the sound is better in places than the original.... I could go on and on... I am floored by job they did on this game for us.

For flashcart owners there are cheats, and patches to remove the anti-piracy measures.

Screw the patch, I'm using the cheat for my m3DS Real.  All I did was download the latest cheat database (updated today, Nov.19) and I got past the telepod with no hassle.  My only fear is that I may not be able to send my progress to my genuine US cart, due to arrive before Thanksgiving.  No matter, I'll figure something out.

And now, PARTY!!!!!  CTDS IS OUT!!!!!!!!  W0000000000000000000000000TNESS!!!!!!!!!!

OK, breaks over, gotta get back to 2300AD.  (Speaking of which, shouldn't it be AG, for After founding of Guardia? Seems like this would have been the perfect time to fix that.)

Canon wise I think the human population was too busy clinging to their lives and couldn't be assed to change the time titles again

These songs in the extra menu are form the PSX version, which you can unlock in the arena. ;)

Also, i'm working on a bestairy.

Yes I also noticed the 1999 A.D. map. Still, in the bad ending, you see the select screen map of 1000 AD instead of 1999 AD. I guess they couldn't be assed to remake it for 1999.

Anyway, due to the sheer size I don't think we can get much details out of it. The only interesting thing I could notice was the island with the Sun Stone.

Wow, awesome, I wonder if this means 1999 AD can be explored...? Unless it's just the 1000 AD map...

If it's alright with you Justin, can I upload that screenshot onto the CTDS page?

Go ahead.  It does kind of look like 1000 AD's map, but you can definitely see the Domes on there, and the land shapes are a bit different as well.

Yeah but I meant when Lavos kills you you see that ending with those three guys in the future watching how Lavos tears up the planet. Then the Select map comes in with all the red dots etc, but they didn't change that to a 1999 map. It's just the 1000 map, like in the original.

I wonder indeed if they bothered to complete the actual 1999 world map. I doubt it, but it could be. I guess we need some sort of a code for AR Max or whatever like the Snes had.
