Yeah, well, that never made sense to me. Serge wasn't that important before the storm, how could she hear him? If she'd hear any baby who ever cried in pain she'd have an hard time choosing who to save.

Legend... ever heard of love at first sight? I am assuming that Schala, from the tesseract, can feel the emotions of many people across space and time. We, in our daily lives, come across many people, who is in pain. And we don't give it much thought. But sometimes we find someone whose emotions, whose pain, touch us very deeply, without a particular reason.

Schala felt an emotion, a pain, that deeply connected with her, somehow. She fell in love with him. At first sight.  :wink:
