"Crimson Echoes"

Schala is floating in black space while listening to a bunch of different conversations apparently echoing around her; key among the voices she hears are Deneb, Levant, and Cyrus. Deneb and Levant are speaking with Slash and Artemis respectively as each of them die, and Cyrus reassures Frog before disappearing from the Northern ruins. Schala watches Deneb, Levant, and Cyrus walk onscreen and she joins them. Together they travel toward a giant ball of light representing the Entity.

The Dream Devourer appears and blocks their way; they catch a brief glimpse of Pandemonium and rush away from it. Cyrus suggests that they try to exit the Shadow Realm so they can escape the Dream Devourer's gravity-like pull on them, and Deneb wonders if they shouldn't go all the way and find new physical bodies, taking them by force if necessary; Levant points out the moral implications of this course of action. Schala is tugged away from them and screams while she's dragged toward the Dream Devourer, the human figure perched atop its Lavoid form blacked out for the time being.

Just before Schala gets devoured by the Dream Devourer, some force pulls her back to the living world and she is once again encased in her own flesh; she looks up to see the man who's been acting as Dalton's shadowy master, and she is invited to share in his dream.

We experience select events from Crimson Echoes from Schala's point of view. Key among these are her initial reunion with the Prophet, who reveals to her horror that he is truly a grown Janus. She finds that this is just one of the "crimson echoes" of her decisions back in Zeal.
