correct me if I'm wrong, but XP has some ruby scripts out that give an effective replication of mode 7 does it not?

Tried making some Serge's overworld sprites for RMXP/VX.
I've tested them in RMVX, it seems 3 frames is kinda too few for a smooth walk animation, but good for a quick product.

There aren't going to be a final version of this, I only made that to find out what were the limitations of rpg maker xp.

Tried some sprites.
Hmm, the 14 framed version and 13 framed version have a slight 'jump' when the last and first frame meets.
Perhaps that is because the walking is too smooth, so switching to 'idle' pose looks so sudden.
The 7 framed version looks better, though not smooth enough.
