Post Apocalyptic Film Set
« on: February 02, 2010, 08:37:04 pm »
Hey everyone. Some of you know that I own a film company in Portland, OR. Here's some stills from our latest film, "Population 2." Expect to see it in theatre this Summer (or Winter... you never know with film).

I have more pics coming; in particular, I'm awaiting high-rez shots of the footage.

Cheers!

Looks interesting! How wide do you expect the theatrical release to be?

Damn, the Compendium is just, this...conglomeration of creative talent.

...

*returns to add:

What was the budget for this film? I'm impressed that someone at the Compendium is so far along in one of their ventures.

*flees again*

Post apocalyptic film, eh?

I bet I can tell if this movie is going to work or not with a mass audience (No guarantees, though [like there ever is in the film industry]):

Pitch it to me.  Maybe not here, but in my SoY thread.

Lookin' sharp!  Is this already planned to have a theatrical release or is it going festival route or both or something else entirely?

Genesis, I appreciate the offer, but I can't divulge much plot information.  It is a budgeted film and as thus has lots of legalities surrounding it (many of which I initiated to protect it).  But I'm thankful for the offer, it's very kind of you to offer your time that way!

The big question here has been about release.  Things we are sure of is local release (Portland, OR) and film festivals (including Sun Dance); we are also sure about DVD release and major DVD distribution.  Things we are less sure about, but are looking into, is national release.

We have ways to achieve National Release, but I don't want to promise it until I've got a little more information.

Well, what can you divulge?

Sorry.  When I hear people getting into producing these sorts of films (independent productions, especially), there's just something about me that wants to know more about the story.

...

I'll stop.  :(

lol, not a problem!  I can divulge the set up.

The story is about a woman who lives alone after the world has ended.  Yet, even though she is alone, every night she has supper with... something.  A lot of the film revolves around her efforts at survival but also on this dinner ritual mystery.
