Drifters?

When you first wake up the Guru of Time (End of Time, Lampost Guy), he says something along the lines of "Ahh, more drifters...", and then gives a slight explanation.

Who are these drifters? They can't be a Woolsleyism as they are mentioned in CTDS, too, and they had a different translator.

Probably a reference to the developers during that ending.

However, if it's not them, then I have no idea. The only other people who time traveled at all in the game didn't crossed the End of Time (except Gaspar who never left the place anyway).

Quote from: Old Man/Gaspar (Compendium retrans)
When you enter a space-time distortion with four or more people who live in different times, the dimensional field distorts......However, there are many space-time distortions in this place. There are even those who, like you, appear here aimlessly......

He could be referencing himself...and/or Spekkio.

Until Chrono Cross came out, that's what I thought the sequel was gonna be. The 3 gurus and another group of time travelers that go to a different set of eras to stop a different evil thing from happening. In the same dimension or universe as the Trigger crew, and there would be multiple groups all doing it throughout time, with their actions becoming interwoven and turning the world's timeline into a ball of yarn basically. Really, I think that would have been sweet. But I doubt they ever intended to do such a thing.

I believe the correct terminology is as follows:

Quote from: The Doctor
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect... but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly.... timey-wimey.... stuff.

Or the drifters are just... still the CT party. The End of Time is removed from normal time completely, so every time chrono and co went through there would be probably seen as near simultaneous for the Guru of time.

One of the drifters could be Norstein Bekkler.

I...don't think that's how time travel works in CT...>_>

How so?

Because he's possibly a time traveler...or (nigh) immortal...My money's still on the Nu and that they were test subjects for Belthasar's temporal experiments...or something!
