OMG I can't wait! I wonder what will happen! If CT wins, guess what's going to happen for the community at large: A BIG PILE OF NOTHING~!! How are people so excited to see what other people (in this case a bunch of stupid GameFAQers) think? A poll, no matter the outcome, won't change how much better Chrono Trigger is to FFVII or OoT or Mario w/e. Not only is it completely redundant, but this is like the umpteenth time they've friggin done it! What could possibly be the allure? Give me a few examples of a poll effecting a company's decision to do something and maybe I'll see this invisible light so many others seem to think they see in the ultimate outcome...oh you can't because polls on random websites are stupider and weaker than even petitions on random websites? OH WELL I GUESS THERE'S ALWAYS NEXT YEAR WHEN THIS EXACT SAME BS HAPPENS AND ANOTHER TOPIC POPS UP IN EVERY FORUM INCLUDING EVERY GAMEFAQS BOARD![/vent]

^V you need to stay out of this topic. If you don't understand too bad, but this could help. Step by step these little nothings become something. A penny is worthless, we don't use it, it's a waste of time and materials but what happens if you keep 5000 pennies? That's $50! enough to buy Chrono Trigger. I don't care what they think and no one should, but if Gamespot makes an article about Chrono or has an interview with Kato it might come up. That's important.

1) It was just a vent.

2) I'm actually expressing an opinion, which is sort of the point of forums and threads and the like, and guess what? that's what polls do, only w/o much 'expressing'.

3) I actually ASKED to understand at one point, so you just saying, "If you don't understand, too bad" seems to further exemplify that redundancy I'm talking about. The only difference between this poll and every other is that the GameFAQs community is a rather large gaming one and that it happens yearly. Report the winner or how far the Chrono games got, sure, but everything else seems mindless.

I think that any possible publicity Chrono gains from this is more bad than good because it causes great spammers to keep coming in everywhere to remind people about the poll, "REMEMBER TO GO VOTE FOR W/E THE FUCK!" and that's it. There is almost never any further discussion besides someone saying, "OMG, THAT GAME IS SO OVERRATED, IT DOESN'T EVEN BELONG ON THE LIST MUCH LESS WINNING AGAINST THAT OTHER GAME!"...

Oh, and it might seem pointless to rail against, but isn't it more pointless to point out that two people discussing something you think is pointless is pointless...? But what am I? A Vulcan or something? But, w/e, the pointlessness of a thread for another site's poll is sort of what I'm trying to point out anyways...

It's definite, FFVII has already won.

CT is barely winning over SM64 right now, and the gap is already closing...

You bet it is xD.  Also, I truly believe FFVII is one of the best games of all time.  Just thinking back, it has one of the most amazing stories I have ever played...  I just like Chrono Trigger more.  Now Ocarina of Time does not deserve the praise it gets.  I mean, it IS good...  But it doesn't deserve to demolish anything it goes up against (Excluding FFVII)
