Prismatic Dress or Regal Gown?

Which is the better armor?

The Prismatic Dress has a defense value of 99 while the Regal Gown only has 90 defense.

But the Regal Gown features both Auto-Barrier and Auto-Protect while the Prismatic Dress has only Auto-Barrier.

Any opinions?

Just stick with the Regal Gown, it's only a few points lost.

Regal Gown.

Auto-Protect takes care of that 9 defence of difference, probably it even increases it.

I don't think Protect changes defense exactly since it cuts damage itself by 1/3...but, yeah, I think it's going to help you out more than a +9 to Def.

The Regal Gown gives auto-barrier and auto-protect, so you don't need to lug the Guardian Helm for that Protect bit. This'll open up your head slot for that Angel's Tiara, which also gives Auto-Haste and status immunity. Pretty good combo, even if the combined defense stat is lower.
