Is that an existential question
? It matters with regard to the Mirrors and the Arcana (the rare Arena items) because, as the originator of the post alludes to, a great number of players like "filling up" their encyclopedias and getting all of the items available in a game. Obviously Square-Enix realized this when they added the gallery feature to the game, even going so far as to indicate the percentage of monsters faced, items collected, endings viewed and so on. However, when you have several items that are only available as random prizes awarded for partaking in a poorly executed afterthought of a Pokemon mode, it becomes needlessly tedious for players to complete their lists. Some may harbor little sympathy for this type of compulsive collecting, though I suspect such people would not be spending time on an RPG message board
. With regard to other items, it would still be very nice to have such an item exchange feature for several reasons, particularly with a game like CT sporting the much-touted new game +. It would give veteran players a chance to unload many of the items they may have stockpiled over numerous playthroughs, swap various tabs with other experienced players and even offer up some more powerful items to new players who need a bit of help. Overall, I think the inclusion of such a feature would be a welcome edition to the game.
