edit- Miyamoto is just going to train the younger generation of developers at Nintendo when he is gone from this world someday.

Well, it sounds like he's just giving up his authority to head these mega-project games. It'll be interesting to see his more direct touch on smaller games, to see where he's at in his personal evolution and what he can do with today's technology.
