SO I finally get Cross in the mail yesterday (YAY!)

and now all I ever see is the game over screen!  Fight the giant gryphon thing, game over

fight the 6-year-old dragoon, game over (furckin ice blast)

now I'm fighting this stupid hydra and guess what? I DIED A-FREAKING-GAIN!

After about 5 playthroughs of Chrono Trigger, there's no way I was prepared for this difficulty jump...or do I just suck?  Am I the only one who sucks at Chrono Cross?

Sounds like you're dying on the boss battles everyone does the first time through. I died on the Neo-N-Bulbs, Marcy, and the Hydra too.

I don't see what everyone finds so hard about Marcy... Just physical attacks+red elements+occasional heal (not cure, since it's her innate)= victoly.

"Everyone"...? Also, you've got 3 against 1...Unless you're a complete ditz, using a Cure shouldn't result in an all-Blue field...

I died so many times at the Black Dragon my file got corrupted. Twice.

Dead serious. That is why I have never beat the game.

isnt there an easy way to solve that ? just dont do the fargos sidequest ....then you dont fight black dragon but you still get relic

I would, but time has not treated my two PS2's well. :(

It's good enough to go through that sidequest & get it...especially since you'll also need to go through that way to get yer Rainbow equipment later on...

I didn't have trouble with Miguel the first time through.

The 2nd time through a regular new game however....was crap.
