Yeah, it does seem the Nintendo way. IF Brawl has online, I might get a Wii. I used to play Melee with my brothers and friends in that tournament style mode.

I know what you mean.

Online would make Brawl the greatest thing since sliced bread. Enough of this talk that so-and-so is better than you. You could never find out because they lived states away. Now it won't matter where you live. We can find a true Brawl champion.

That is what Brawl would do if it had an online mode.

Online gameplay could be either hit or miss. Considering that Smash is the most frame-precise fighter to date, I seriously doubt online play could be taken seriously at all, especially when it comes to tournaments. I will, however, be starting a Smash World Forums Brawl Ladder Ranking project if Nintendo doesn't include it's own ladder system.

Lag will always be an issue in fighters because they require precise timing, but I'm not sure what you mean by saying that Smash is the most frame-precise fighter to date.

I do, If its online and theres lag (trust me I play pokemon battle revolution, it IS laggy sometimes when online.) then it would probably ruin the whole gaming experience

ARE YOU GUYS STILL READY TO BRAWL?!?!?!

Anywho, today's update sort of sucked. I'm disappointed with DK's Final Smash.

They could have done anything, form rolling barrels, to shooting his coconut gun, but no. They decide to use his most recent game and play the conga drums. WTH?!?!

Last week however I felt was one of the better weeks we have had as far as updates go.
2 pretty good stages.
Yoshi.
A new technique which might be a huge part of the game.
And a pretty cool AT.

So what did you guys think of last week and/or today's update(s)?

The Kid Icarus is, to me at least, a godsend. I played Kid Icarus a lot when I was a kid. Frustrating, but fun. A challenge is a challenge.

Yoshi is always popular, so it there was no doubt he'd return. Nice to see a slight improvement on his egg throwing technique now.

The drums Final Smash doesn't seem like too bad of an idea. It might look too lacking if DK still has his ground-slapping move, though (since both might even use the same animation).

Anyway, quite a few good updates, hopefully we'll soon see Paper Mario become playable, haha.

After playing Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door, and just recently starting the original Paper Mario for the N64, I have to say I would be a little excited if someone form Paper Mario was playable.

It would most likely be Mario, but I'd welcome other characters as well. Those other characters would probably end up being Assist Trophies though.

It's an ultimate attack that can only be used when you obtain a Super Smash Bros. emblem.
