Good news on the front of my contribution to women's rights:

I went back home this weekend for my fall break and discussed my idea for a women's shelter with my minister. I phoned him a couple weeks ago when I had the idea, and he did some research.

Apparently the only other women's shelter in the tri-county area is pretty small and run down.

That being said, the idea was given priority. There's one pressing matter in the community that has the church's top priority, but if not this winter, then probably next year.

Either way, good news to be had! This calls for some dancing!

I love Zim. It has beautiful, hideous colours and magnificent, grotesque shapes. Everyone is crazy and malformed and everything is so wrong, but always right. Everything is always broken but somehow, always, gets fixed in the end (even when it doesn't). Hated enemies fight forever but couldn't live without each other, thus no one ever wins. It's the definition of insanity; always attempting the same thing, expecting something different each time, but never achieving the desired result. Such a beautiful show, indeed.
