I know I posted just yesterday about the spring weather, but, man, has it taken a turn. From the bright, warm, and breezy yesterday to the snow flurries today, Texas weather is amazing! Which is strange, 'cause I always say it sucks and can't make up its mind. But this day, I don't mind one bit.

The snow is beautiful. It's bright outside, and I can look straight up and still see the blue sky behind the thin cloud layer. But the flurries are strong. The whole scene reminds me of diamond dust, something I wish to see in my lifetime. . .

Anyway, I love the weather.

Healthcare passed, baby! Woo!! The main healthcare bill has totally passed, and now goes to the President for signature. The reconciliation just passed a close vote in the House and now goes to the Senate for a much easier vote later this week.

That's it. For all intents and purposes, it's done!

There's this little teensy thing I don't agree with in that bill(law), now call me a dumbass, but I don't like it when unconstitutional things start popping up into bills. such as:if you don't get the mandated insurance, you are forced a tax by  big daddy IRS, who is in and of itself illegal. as is the federal reserve. interesting note, the federal reserve was passed into law when most of congress was away for christmas, and the ones still around would've been wanting to get the hell outta there for the holidays, passing laws being the last thing on their mind. many states, led by Texas, are going to be filing a lawsuit against the bill.

I am pleased that the health care bill has passed. I won't lie, I'm sure if there were a more fiscally conservative bill in the works I probably would've supported that over this, but the fact is that despite all of the protesting, no real ideas came out of the conservative movement(unless you count Ron Paul; I do not). So, I'mma be an optimist and hope the liberals got it right this time. If not, that's what elections are for.

...Now get to work on immigration! I'd like my Czech friend to be able to visit the States for longer than a month at a time. -_-
