I'll get things started:

http://us.wii.com/soft_loz_tp.jsp

I can't believe Link fires his arrows right-handed! This is an outrage upon humanity! Who the heck was programming this thing?!

Edit: Ah hah! It must be configurable for handedness, like many of the new Wii games. He's swordfighting right-handed, too. The test players on that video page are apparently all dextral scum.

My righteous wrath is assuaged.

Edit 2: Nope, he's right-handed through the whole thing, without a choice. They mirrored every detail in the entire game late in the development cycle in order to cater to the majority audience, after noticing at the last E3 that right-handed players were having difficulty using their right hands to control Links left hand.

I am going to go somewhere and cry.

Edit 3: Wait! Apparently there may indeed be a mirror mode! Dammit! This suspense is killing me. Can I get confirmation from somebody who has the game already?

Just pointing out, the Gamespot man Jeff Gertsman is an idiot. He gave it an 8.8, just to get hits (everyone else gave it like 9-10). Look at his review, it's bullshit. He's just another fatass that doesn't want to get up to play games ("Wii Bowling sucks, the bowling ball keeps curving!"-- how bout you stand up and do it properly instead of just flicking your wrist!).

According to various people I've asked who have it, and a Nintendo call center rep (gf of a former roommate) Wii version does not have a Hero mode. You're stuck playing as Useless Link, at least if you get the Wii version.

Wow. Are all left-handed heroes who appear on the Wii going to become right-handed? They'd better not do a CT remake like this.

That's despicable. I know it might be hard for most people to believe, but this is the most frustrating thing I've had to deal with in months.

I will simply have to elect for the GameCube version, assuming it doesn't end up mirrored too. And if it does...I may dispense with my Wii purchase altogether. Nobody strips a famously left-handed character of their sinistrality and escapes my enmity!

Next-up: My one-man letter-writing campaign. But first I need solid confirmation on the Wii and GameCube versions.

I was supposed to make this thread!  Forthwith I shall destroy thee in the eyes of thine brethren by signing thee up for horse porn, and restitution make for this travesty!   :( :(

Naw, really.  I could've made some money off of this.  I mean, I could have stood in line for the PS3 and sold my spot to someone else and used the money to buy a Wii, but I didn't think of that.  Apparently I'm not a bad enough dude, so I have to wait until December to play it on GC.

But I did secure a Twilight Princess stand-up for my own personal collection.  Thusly, I am a happy person, because I know I'll be getting it eventually.  Now I just wish I had FFXII.
