Is the radical dreamers actually the Radicals

I've noticed that the ratical dreamers are a bandit group or rebel from the El Nido and Porre armies. And the Radicals were actualy a southered republic "rebel" group in the civil war. Could this mean somthing? I'm starting to wonder!

Yes, there are numerous groups with "radical" in the title. What Masato Kato was trying to impart is that Kid and her band live life passionately and dream wild dreams, sort of like my passion of youth thing.

Yeah, I saw the name 'Radical Dreamers' as being a sense of power, for example, trying to steal the Frozen Flame, which no-one has accomplished before, which makes it seem impossible, making it 'radical'.

also thers other words for radical. such as Tubuler, awsome, totally, bitchen. seems as though they are trying to say there group is cool.

I figured the meaning of "radical" was akin to the radical religious. As pointed out during multiple instances in Chrono Cross, the Radical Dreamers are well-known on the mainland for their take-no-prisoners attitude toward their goals and the obstacles to overcome in obtaining them.

Somehow, I seriously doubt it's meant to be synonymous with "tubular," although I suppose anything is possible.

I think they are called racicals b/c they are going against fate, unlike the other people in the world who are just controlled by it.

Exactly. If I'm not mistaken, the term 'radical dreamer' is used in the wall mural in the Dragonian fort to speak of those who broke from the sea onto land to build a new way of life, something before considered impossible. It does tend to go beyond the simple 'doing something insane' or 'doing something new', into the idea of challenging the whole order and meaning of the world. In the context of Chrono Cross it is not so much the attempted stealing of the Flame that makes her a RD, but rather the challenge she presents to the rulers of the world, ie. Fate and, more so Lavos. What does she say again before they enter the Tesseract? She speaks some high and daring words in careless abandon as she is about to throw herself into conflict with immortal power. That's the sort of radical it implies.
