Another Radical Dreamers help topic

Okay, I didn't see another topic asking this or anything, but I'm admittedly new to ROMs and such. But yeah, I got interested in playing through a translated version of RD this morning and got ZSNES, what I found as the final English patch, and the basic ROM of RD.

Now I'm kinda lost as to what to do to get it to play. I've done what was said in the readme files the best I could figure out, but still get nothing. I mean I can easily get the regular rom to work, but don't understand a bit of Japanese. Of course now I'm starting to ramble...

I'm trying to be as specific as possible... errr, though I'm not well versed in this stuff yet. Any help would be much appreciated.

So, then, you patched it using a program like Lunar IPS (http://fusoya.panicus.org/lips/)?

Yeah, I done that too. All that comes up is like, a solid brown-ish screen and that'll be it.

You might need to either 1) try and get another CT ROM because the one you have may be headered/unheadered (i forget which) or 2) use SNESTool to take off the header if there is one of the ROM you were using (that is, supposing you made a backup or can easily redownload it).

If you need, just get the ROM at romreactor (can't give you the link though, but i'm sure w/all the knowledge of google at your fingertips, you can figure it out) just get the regular one marked (US)...that's the one I used and it turned out fine...

Alright, for some damn reason I totally thought you were talking about the Crimson Echoes patch! >_> While the talk about having a headered/unheadered ROM still stands, romreactor won't have a RD ROM, but you'll probably find another Googling...but it might be easier to use SNESTool or something to unheader/header your ROM.

No doubt I'll have problems with that too, I'm quite ignorant at first when it comes to these things. Though I easily pick up with a little help. Now if I could just find my helmet.............

ZeaLitY helped me out with it. On my first playthrough so far... I died. <insert sadder emoticon face than what's available here>
