So the panther demon...

I never see anyone talk about the panther demon, and even the Compendium doesn't have a page on this "character". Yet this is the creature that pretty much set everything in motion. If Serge hadn't been bitten, none of the other stuff would have ever happened.

So my question is, who or what was the panther demon? We know it wasn't Lynx, because Lynx didn't exist yet. And there's no way you can tell me that after all of Belthasar's careful planning, his whole success depended on a random panther demon biting Serge.

Also, it's not just a panther, but a panther "demon". What's the significance of that?

Well I think in the japanese version the mystics were referred to as demons? Maybe a panther mystic? Thats very interesting I had never paid much attention to the panther demon.

EgyLynx, I don't understand what you're trying to say.

Here's the evidence/analysis/conjecture: both games have a cat that is a background character, who is important to the plot because of an association with a boy who has blue hair and is emotionally close to Schala. I suggest that Alfador is no cat, but is a sort of cat demon, or cat god, similar to Spekkio, and can shapeshift.

You mean what Panther Demon was in Japanese? I think it's just Panther Demon as well. At least from what I see of the Japanese text.
