Chrono Rae: Not dead yet!
« on: November 21, 2007, 09:57:57 am »
Despite major setbacks, this tiny project continues on!

Major setbacks incl:

Death/AWOL of those who were going to make the music. They've stopped answering all correspondence sent to them.
I lost contact with our Concept Artist due to some really odd email glitches. Contact has been restablished as of this writing.
We still haven't found anyone willing to help with anything.

Thats all.

People have said they want "Concrete facts about the game" rather than the information I has providing, wich was about the game's universe. OK!

Conrete Facts:

1. Will be on a computer. (As opposed to rom-hack.)
2. Will be 3D.
3. It will be episodic. Each episode will probably be about 30-50 hours of gameplay.
4. There will be three episodes.
5. You won't fight a lavoid proper in the first episode. Sorry.
6. Battles are not turn based, or even pseudo-turn based. But it won't be a Chrono Hearts/Kingdom Trigger, or anything like that. So relax.

Interesting Features that might be in the game:

Cloning Centers will be save points. You are only cloned when you die, otherwise, they act as a normal save point.

CC Features:
1. Randomly, two clones will be made due to a malfunction!
2. The other clone will either join you up to the point where you died, or try to kill you.
3. If it tries the latter, killing it yeilds a rare item.

and more...

Not if you complete it in secret and release a final version on the internet.  They can't Cease and Desist something that HAS ceased and desisted.  It would also help if the person responsible resides from a country out of reach from the US courts.  I plan on remaking FF4 someday myself--and I could care less what Sqeenix has to say about it.

First of all I don't care if FF4 is coming out for the DS, my DREAM is to do one MYSELF.  Secondly, it is a good idea to do a project like this secret from the public, just because I said "secret" doens't mean you can't still recruit people for it.  PRIVATE MESSAGES and IRC are there for a reason.  You are just too negative to see what I'm talking about.
