CC confirms that when one changes the past, the pre-existing future is sent to the DBT, and a new future is created.

It does does it? I didnt know. Now wat if we do something to bring back that original future? Will the new one be sent to the DBT and the old one brought back out of it?

In a sense, maybe.  Say, you change Timeline A so that A is sent to the DBT and B is created.  Then you go back and change things so that the timeline is basically back to how it was in Timeline A.  Timeline B is sent to the DBT, and Timeline C is created (even if it's identical to Timeline A).  The DBT has a lot of discarded timelines in there; must be a big place.  Basically every time Crono and Co. travel back and forth through gates they're rewriting the whole timeline, even if the changes are small.

Changes might be made so that it is almost idenical to a prior one, but it will not be the exact same one.

I know this is lame, but a good analogy is MS Paint.  Have a blank picture, save it.  This is timeline A.  Now, draw a spot on it.  That's timeline B.  Now erase that spot.  While it looks exactly like the first one (timeline A), it's still timeline C.  As proof, exit MS Paint.  It will ask if you want to save the changes (even though it looks exactly the same).

Nah, that was an interesting way of putting it.

Believe it or not, that made more sense to me than Zatopek's explenation, no offence Zatopek, its just I need to see things simplified and in different ways (like how Talah Rama said)!
