That is the most unexplained answer. Simply saying that it's TTI or that Time Bastard does not work in this matter is BS.

As for Terra Tower - It was to far away from Chronopolis.
Lavos could not be stopped when he destroyed Zeal because of this. He left his PD destroyed Zeal then created a new one probably. That or because we don't have a chance to destroy him before 12,000BC because nothing allows you too. The destruction of Zeal comes to pass, and nothing can make you go back to before that, probably the real entity's doing cuz it doesn't want Zeal or something. The major point was only to destroy him from 12,000BC before 1999AD. Basically, anything prior to 12,000BC cannot be changed. Anything after the Ocean Palace disaster can be.

Time Bastard (mid way through the article) can explain this. I'll explain this case for you.

Robo is in 600, he plants everything like the happy go lucky robot he is. The rest of the group travels to 1000. Robo stays behind and waits to be reactivated. After the reunion the group leaves 1000 and goes to whatevert time period (lets say EoT for funs sake). If they return to 600 Robo will still be there, because time still flows when they time travel. If they dropped Robo off on lets say Monday July 7th at 3:00 PM 600 A.D. they can not travel back to that exact second. Only a later time. Any extra Robo's will be sen to the DBT when they enter any gate.

Yes, but there is no weekdays or exact time in CT. It's just like it is until something that changes the plot happens. That is the only thing that keeps Time Bastard going, so it's not a great loophole free theory, but more overused.

...Your joking.  Time is still measured in CT.  Time still passes.

Never said it was a time paradox. I was retorting to someone who said that we should be able to save Zeal for some reason.

No... Time does not pass in Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross until you make the plot go furthur along. You could spend 10 days fighting Gato and nothing more... Time will not pass in the game....... But you'll get richer anyhow.... If you talk to someone who is just a normal NPC, time still does not go past.... When it's the Ocean Palace scenario, unless you keep going down the stairs, we don't see time progress and even the moment that Schala has started awakening Lavos, we can always go out of the Palace and go somewhere else, and the Ocean Palace would still occur if time passed by itself >.>

You're making game mechanics take presidence over rationality though...

But it's true......... Unless the plot goes on, time really doesn't go in. Time won't go on until the plot is thickened. Basically, if you've been training for like 5 hours and then went to an npc that caused the plot to continue, only then would it continue. But if you're reading it as a book obviousally, it'd be instant, from one trigger to another.

If you never leave the time you are in then there wouldn't be any changes, you are argueing something that is rediculous to argue. It is a game, not real life. Not everything can be accounted for. They only eat once in the entire game, so are you saying that they are doing this whole adventure on an empty stomach?
