Battles figured out

I want to say that I have gotten battles solved.  It turns out we don't need to do bitmath at all to do "area battles" so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.

I'll make a "battle tutorial" patch that explains how to do various types of battles

-enemy on screen
-enemy off screen
-multiple enemies
etc

Sweet. With a little fiddling and random tweaking, I've gotten battles to work without too many problems, but I never found out how or why. I'm really looking forward to this. :)

No bitmath? Glad to know I was wrong.

Makes everything thousands of times easier, no?
