Chrono Trigger Flash Series / Notices from the Moderator/Director

Preferably I would like to have the best product we can create. It should be noted that hardly anyone has posted here in a while. I have been attending to personal affairs, and im also afraid that Specter and SSJoseph may have abandoned us. Though I highly doubt this, im afraid if we lost our main flash creator, we could be screwed...which brings up something else, Luminaire, are you skilled any area of Flash? Simply wondering, considering I dont even have the program and Ive worked a tiny bit of it at school (and even then it was very small).

Yeah. And "Big Fire" doesn't really sound that ginormous or informed.

It doesnt need to be. The term "Big Fire" is nothing more than a simple describing term. Because Ayla doesnt have a big smarty brain, she doesnt have access to big adjectives and the like. So the term "Big Fire" is enough for her to understand, its enough to explain Lavos as Ayla first saw "him".

Announcement: Alrighty, Im lucky, I got rid of the Virus (it wasnt major thank the Lord) and I am also proud to say that Operation Lordchander Clean-up is complete! Though things may look a bit strange at first, you will understand it fairly easily.

Locked Threads: These are threads that ive thought we may need to return to if the need arises. Ive locked them due to the fact that they should only be used asa reference thread. Please notify me in this thread here if you wish to have it unlocked so we can discuss. Or alternativly, head to the stickied "Project FAQ" thread and ask about it.

Stickied Threads: Yes there are lots of them ( ), but I found that this is the best way to keep things organized. As you have noticed, some old threads have been put in the Sticky section instead of being Locked due to the fact that these are interesting topics which we can refer to and discuss easily. You may also have noticed that each Episode so far has been placed within this section. When someone else posts a new thread for the nect Episode, I want them to sticky it please (im pretty sure you guys can because I recall me being able to before I got the job as Mod) for easy organization and reference.

Im pretty sure everything is up to standard now. PLEASE inform me if you think something isnt right, or have advice on different ways to do things etc. I think its time for the Project to get underway now.

Chrono Trigger Flash Series / Script Respones (Universal Episode Thread)
« on: January 27, 2006, 05:01:40 am »
Lordchander: Originally posted by Luminaire85 in a defunct thread. Moved to here for safe keeping.

With the script for Episode I almost done, I would like to begin thinking about Episode II. Naturally we have a lot of things to decide:

Length. Where is a good place to stop? I was thinking maybe just after the recruitment of Frog, but I'm open to ideas.

Title. I imagine this will either be "The Queen Returns" or "The Queen is Gone" depending on where we cut the script.

Scenes. Here are the ones I came up with:
    - Crono's arrival in Truce Canyon
    - Crono at Truce Inn
    - Crono's arrival at Guardia Castle
    - Marle's disappearance
    - Lucca's arrival
    - Manoria Cathedral/recruitment of Frog

If anyone has ideas on these or anything else regarding Episode II, I definitely want to hear them.

Chrono Trigger Flash Series / No Prologue
« on: January 26, 2006, 04:19:45 am »
Announcement: It was discussed a while ago that there may be an opening scene where Schala will be doing an opening narration. I found this quite un-related, so it has now been cut from the project due to time restrictions and the fact it is pretty much useless.

Announcement: Please dont be alarmed if your post count suddenly drops. This is a side effect of me cleaning up the Forum, this is a daunting task which requires me to assess what should be changed or deleted or whatever. Please don't think you have been spamming or anything because your post count has dropped.

This will also be a thread where notices from me will come through during moderation. So there will be lots of double-posting (or triple-posting...o.0)

Alright, im gonna  basically get rid of any thread we dont need and/or is useless, which most are. Important threads will remain so new users can get a grasp on what is actually happening here. I'll let you know if we need help.

But because the Epoch has a life of its own, it hates you and maroons you in 2300 AD

I wish I had a Guardian Jedi instead of a Guardian Angel

Those pictures do a fantastic job of showing that Lavos should be Death Peak. The only thing that really bothers me about the theory is that with a planet devoid of life how could a brand new mountain produce the vegetation and trees that it has? Unless Lavos expended its own energy to do so, but I highly doubt it would waste its time with such a meaningless task.

Perhaps Lavos simply radiated its energy unknowingly, producing life. Perhaps if you take the theory that Lavos manipulated Death Peak in the first place to be his own then this could work. But if you believe the theory that Lavos is Death Peak then this could complicate things.
Come to think of it, maybe not: Perhaps Lavos' Shell has a unique ability to house life from the outside (sounds strange, I know) which is why there are dead trees growing on the outside of him.

@ZeaLitY It seems Jake is not...I was classed has the mod in Usergroups so I guess that would make me the one. Jake hasnt shown up for a long time, so I guess he no longer visits here anymore. If you can make me the mod Z' it would help lots.

Generally I thought we had this project back up and running, at first everyone was like "yeah I think I can help" etc. but then we went back into buisness it kinda all died down.

@Luminaire85 Originally I thought "heck we've got lots of time to do this" but when SSJoseph said I while I go that this wasn't a project that he could work on forever it got me into the whole field of "crap we better hurry up otherwise we cant do this thing." So I hope everyone still wants to do it. And like Z' said, we need a larger team.[/quote]

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Dalton's Disappearence and the Golems...
« on: January 24, 2006, 06:51:49 am »
I have a bit of speculation right on Dalton's disappearing through that "Gate" that the Golems come through. Take this as speculation and nothing more (unless you want to...).

I get the feeling that this is no Time Gate or Dimensional Gate, but more a wormhole that links to another location. My first thought was that it lead perhaps to a chamber in Zeal that was sort of like a sealed room, perhaps where powerful magic was at play to enhance the Golem's powers. My thoughts there were was one Golem, the Zealians took DNA from the original Golem. Creating a couple of other Golems that they experimented with (and perhaps cloned one of them to make the Golem Twins) them as different weapons. And Dalton has some sort of magic to get them out of there chamber etc.

Dalton goes to summon these monsters but they're all gone, and because Zeal is gone, he magically appears in the sky and falls to his doom. Not a nice way too go.

Alternately, because of the loss of Magic, the wormhole cant be susstained and when Dalton gets sucked inside, the wormhole collapses and Dalton is sent to the DBT or wherever.
