Nice. I need to come up with something like that for general usage against asswipes... But I could probably take them alone anyway.

I haven't really had years, but I'm gonna make up for lost time and make CT known in my school. I'm pretty famous for making and reviving things in my school, like yugioh, and interest in the pokemon games. CT shouldn't be much of a challenge, I hope...

You know you've been playing too much CT when you have an actual Dual Tech attack with one of your friends... that worked against a bully in elementary school.

Whoa, awesome!!! What was it?

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Re: Is Magus really all that cool?
« on: October 16, 2009, 07:22:35 pm »
Magus really is all that cool imo.

20
I've already posted this earlier in another thread, but there are currently only 8 people in my school/6th form who actually know what Chrono Trigger is, and 5 of them only know because I told them. It physically sickens me, really.

21
Everyone has an angrier, darker side to them... That can't be helped really.

Oh, and to get back on-topic:

When you want to actually punch someone for calling CT "retarded"

When you feel disgusted by the lack of respect that CT gets in the UK

22
You'd make an awesome Schala, what with all that RP-ing you mentioned earlier.

Although CTDS has been out for MONTHS now, I am still shocked by the lack of respect it gets. Because I live in England, I wasn't entirely surprised beforehand, considering that the game had never been released here until CTDS. Back then, including me, there were about 3 other people at my school of 1600+ pupils that actually knew what it was. Now, despite the fact that ever since I purchased it I had been posting updates on facebook talking about nothing but CT, and that I have been playing it around school during breaks and such, I have managed to make 5 people more aware of it. Just 5. I'd still prefer CT in all of its 2D goodness to some crappy 3D RPG where the companies have focused so much time on graphical work that the stories suck ass. If you want an example, look at FF12.

The lack of respect that CT gets over here actually disgusts me. Some random dickhead saw me playing it and actually said to me, "That game is retarded". I just wanted to get up and beat that little fuckwit shitless. I mean, the nerve of that guy...

I'm only 16 myself, and I grew up in the 3D generation, but 2D games, mainly 2D RPGs, are still better imo. Even if my experience of playing CT is relatively short, It is still one of the best games I have ever played.

But hey, at least I've come up with a way to spread general Chrono awareness within a school. Actually just play the damn game in front of them. I mean, I've convinced one guy so much with 10 minutes of CT that he actually dreamt about it.

This needed to be said.

You endure a sleepless marathon to unlock all 12 endings because the game's only 20 hours long.

Must... get... developers... ending...

Can't... feel... controller...

Guilty!

Also guilty!!!

General Discussion / Re: The General Pokémon Thread

I know, I know. I don't actually Wi-fi battle though. And if I did, I wouldn't actually use my hacked Pokemon. I just use Pokesav on my emulator.

Well, I think I may have discovered the secret to properly creating a pokemon on Pokesav whilst making it legit.

PUT IT IN AN EGG AND HATCH IT!!!!!

That ensures that the IVs, nature, shininess etc. are legit. You can then safely edit EVs and level, and it will remain legit. As I said, smart hacking!!!

General Discussion / Re: The $%*! frustration thread

I think that those, "random adders" as I call them, on Facebook are actually idiotic tbh. They ALL just want another reason to brag about something. Also, I really hate those people on Facebook that you delete for offending you, or in this case, offending you AND your friends, and they then try to re-add you. You accept the request, thinking that they may have learned the error of their ways, only to have them start the whole thing all over again. Thats another frustration of mine... I don't need to be bullied on the internet by the same idiots that do it at my school!!!!!

When you start throwing around Chrono-related pick up lines back and forth with your significant other.

"Is that the Masamune in your sheathe, or are you just happy to see me?"
"Is your clone the Dream Devourer?  'Cos she stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes."
"Don't worry, me VERY strong!"
"How do you like your Time Eggs in the morning?"
"I'm the master of more than just war, baby."
"Did you just cast Fire 2?  'Cos you are SMOKIN'!"
"Come and get it...if you're prepared for the void!"
"Lemme put the "Fire" in your "Fire Zone"."

Those are only the ones I can remember / think of off the top of my head.  Any others?  :P

This could be a thread in and of itself.  Too many possibilities!

or, "If my fate is to be asked out by you, I must simply say HELL YEAH!!!"

@ Chrono666 = There are places online that you can commission plushies from. Several folks have gotten themselves Magus plushies (and one Crono one that I know of, which I'm envious of) via such sites. It wouldn't be too hard to find one of such great places and have a Queen Zeal made for ya.

Throwing in my two cents on this (and I noticed folks have posted a lot of the things I long for) =

A genuine Chrono Trigger TCG...

I and a friend on a TCG site once attempted to create our own CT game, using the Pokemon card game as a basis (rather easy and fun to do, making energy cards be "Magic Power" and trainer cards be "Techs", "Magic/Power/Speed Tabs", equip items, etc.). It got halfway done, and then the guy helping me had some really bad crap happen in his life and he decided to abandon the project, after consulting with me first on the matter and apologizing profusely. *sigh* I wanted it to become a reality so bad, and it made me seriously depressed for over a year afterwards...

It'd be epic if anyone here would want to revive the idea, if anything to create a card game for the members of this forum to enjoy (ya know, make it possible to print out copies of your own cards, etc.). But what would really rock, having connections that I have (I'm sworn to secrecy on precisely what), is if a decent prototype of the game were to be made and then shown to folks from Square-Enix... to implore them to see the awesome and cool profitability of such a game becoming real (and maybe start off having it in Japan before releasing it here).

I would love to actually do this, but my artistic skills suck ass. (basically, I have none) But, as a yu-gi-oh duelist, and an ex-player of the Pokemon TCG, I could design a whole new set of gaming mechanics and rules, as well as the base . Would anyone be interested?? If there's one thing I'm useful for, it's TCGs.

I am starting to love Yu-Gi-Oh even more than I did. I really like tweaking my deck, because of the endless possibilities of combos that you get from even 40 cards. And it also helps me teach the younger kids about the key to a winning formula, which would mean that I have been successful in keeping the game alive at my school (I basically resurrected the game at my school). It's also good for mental arithmetic skills and it has helped me make many friends over the years I have played it. So, the many reasons I love Yu-Gi-Oh. Oh, don't forget Dark Magician Girl. :D
