Such enthusiasm.

Chrono Trigger was the game that really made me want to make video games in the first place.

Chrono Cross just helps reinforce my dream of being a game designer.

Both such STELLAR games....I'm such a fan boy.

Well, In my humble opinion, when a conversation starts to become a spiteful or hateful angst between two or more people.....then the thread will start to lose meaning. Which does happen quite frequently in these kind of threads. That does more harm than good. That's the only reason why I would advise giving it the "LOCKDOWN". But hey, to each his own!

it's an obvious resume booster that 99% of people don't care about.
Which is too bad. Since having knowledge of assembly is a great tool for optimization and memory usage.

Damn them. Haha.

and......uh, what's TF?

And now, an AI Editor eh? The last editor I did was a particle editor for our Megaman game. It was either that, or an Animation Editor. But particles are more fun, haha.  So.......what exactly would that kind of editor entail exactly? An AI editor can go from pretty basic to something EXTREMELY  complex. Where...I have done AI in the past, but I actually get my official AI course (which is pretty intense) in about 3 months.

I'm gonna name my daughter Flea from Chrono Trigger.

I wonder how the wife will like that. Haha.

The topics of Politics and Religion is an issue that really anybody can find themselves lost in. But yes.....I'm seeing what you mean, I've been reading a bit of the thread now.

I wonder when this thread will start to get the LOCKDOWN.

It's not really that i'm passionate, it's that when someone gives up a short answer, someone else comes up and goes LOL WRONG and it continues.  This thread will never end until one of the mods lock it.  All this is going to do is start a pointless hating of people.
Lol, which is one of the reasons why I AVOID THEM :)

Because really in the end.....there are no right answers, just different perspectives. Anybody who says otherwise is trying to sell you something!

I have the slightest feeling I've created another "Oh no. Oh God No." thread.
Lol...I've really been trying to follow along. But all these responses seem to warrant a short novel.

Lots of people are passionate on the subject, so it seems. I usually keep outta these talks anyways.

I've heard a lot of good things about Final Fantasy IV as well....haha. I'm actually planning on playing it. Don't know if I should just play the original or play the remake for the DS coming out soon.

If you have not played either I would suggest waiting for the DS remake, since it looks like everything is getting a boost (graphics, gameplay, story, music, et cetera). then again, with the bad translation of the original in some parts there are some very funny quotes, so it might be worth it to play that at some point just to see how far it came.
Respectfully noted!

What about the FF8 sequence where Rinoa is floating in space? And one of the Melody of Life cutscenes in FF9 was emotional too.
Even though Final Fantasy 9 was quite a light hearted game in comparison to the likes of VII and VIII, it had a lot of deep elements I thought. Such a moving ending and the whole thing with Vivi discovering the meaning of life and how things "stop" was a 'lil tear jerky for me as well. That whole scene with all those black mages dying got to me as well. I mean damn, with those things happening.... things got pretty damn serious, pretty quick.

I didn't know about the magus shrine in manoria cathedral for a really long time.

Jp

But what did you do the whole while? toured the entire Northern continent in 600 AD while listening to its really great theme??

Haha, it was an awesome theme.  I didn't stay too long though I knew about manoria cathedral I just didn't know about the secret door that led to the Magus Shrine.  Really its the only "secret" area that I can think of (I.E. the door isn't obviously there).

Yeah, I didn't find that my first time either. Hell...I think it took a couple of times for me to find that. Like you said, it's not really obvious...

Well, I know I've said this before......I'm willing to use my programming knowledge for something like Crimson Echoes. If people are needing help on it.

I don't know how low level you guys go to develop Crimson Echoes.....but I might be able to be of some use. Like I said before, I'm quite proficient in C++ and C# and still learning Assembly (a pain in the ass)...but I do have experience making little games here and there and an actual Megaman remake for my student game project.

So yeah, I can give you guys some help when needed. If the helped is wanted, of course!
