Let me just say this and then I'm done with Dragonforce.

If Herman Ree and Sam Drunknuts could actually play guitar as well as they say they do, I wouldn't be as bad about them. The fact is that the most talented person in the band is the keyboard player. The only reason Herman and Sam can play so well on their CD is because of the multiple takes they get to do it right in the studio, and the fact that when they record, they play everything at half speed.

Herman's sweeps in this video are so sloppy.

Compare to this:

This song.

It is probably the most epic thing in the world, far surpassing DragonForce.

*facepalm* If I hear one more person call Dragonforce epic, then I will strangle a kitten.

A side note, yet related, Veil of Maya's new album [id] has definitely tickled my fancy.

I'm curious as to why Alien (1979) should be chosen as a classic over Aliens (1986). I guess Alien felt a little more like a horror art film, whereas Aliens was definitely more of an action flick. Could the different "mood" set these films apart in terms of classic-worthiness, or other aspects? For my own part I'd tend to rate Aliens slightly higher than Alien just for the writing and deeper exploration of Ripley's character.

Three words.

BILL FUCKING PAXTON.

Aliens is much more deserving of "Classic" status.

Hey all, been gone for a while.

I have a new thing to love now though.

I love her more than anyone else in the entire world. I cannot describe how she makes me feel, and we are to be married next month!

This is us, and I have never been happier!

General Discussion / Re: Before you donate to the Salvation Army...

The reasons I do not donate to the Salvation Army are as follows.

1. I am a Christian, but persecution and the asinine hatred of another human being for their lifestyle choices is NOT something I want to be a part of.

2. I believe that the leadership of a non-profit agency should be attempting to make money at some other endeavor, not raiding the coffers from in front of the department stores. Their CEO made $1.5 million dollars last year.

3. If only to restate the fact that I am not a militant Christian, I will not fund an organization which supports such nonsense. I am, as Christ calls us all to be, a lover of man as well as a lover of God. I swear to you that I am not as spearheaded in my faith as others on this forum. Most of my friends are not Christians, and I wouldn't have them any other way.

So there.

It certainly seems to be raining shit on me right now.

1. Wrecked my truck. Totaled. Fuck.

2. Mom and dad are thinking about splitting up. Admittedly, I've known it was coming and I'm 22 so it's really none of my business.

3. Mom just entered Lakeside treatment facility today to find out why she's so depressed.

FUUUUUUUUUUU

I fucking hate wrecks.

I made an 80 on my RT201 final, so I passed the class.

Then on the way home I was so happy until I ran into the back of a Silverado.

Fuck Silverados, Fuck Verizon (the company the other guy works for), fuck wrecks, and fuck today.  :(

My band finally had our first show last night.

It was awesome and I loved it. But there were two problems. By the time we played, nobody was there besides the rest of my bandmates' family. Also, we were pushed back from 8:30 to 10:30.

I was born in California. If you take an image of the state of California and put your finger in the very center of the state, that's where I'm from. Merced. I moved here, near Memphis, TN when I was 4 years old. I'm 22 now, so I've pretty much been raised here.

Fun times.

I love Steam.

And I love buying things from Valve in general. Why buy on PC you ask? When I started my computer this afternoon, Steam was all like, "I'm downloading something for Left4Dead for you!" I was all like, "Oh really? What's that?" It said, "The new DLC campaign!" I then replied, "Don't I have to pay for that!?" Steam just shook his head no and gave me a big hug.

I love Steam.

I love your shirt!

Oh my God lol. I have worn that damned hoodie to where it's just a rag now. It got holes all in it and stuff, and I ended up cutting the sleeves off. But I love it. It's my Zelda hoodie.

Ask ZachiKarky what the best cure for insomnia is. She'll tell you the same thing I will, because she took my advice lol.

Melatonin. Go grab a bottle of 3mg capsules of Melatonin, take one, and lay down. You will be asleep soon.

Melatonin is the natural chemical that your body produces to make you feel sleepy, and it's available as a supplement. I love it and swear by it.
