and the new formats are burdened by obstructive DRM

I agree with Gray in this subject. These new technologies are going to prevent you from copying recordings that you have the copyright. :/

3. Helping me achieve better quality clips (if available) than what I'm able to get off of a SNES9X emulator

You can rip them "as is" in your emulator, without compression, and then after this convert to mpeg2 (DVD formats) and/or VCD, and create a full ISO to watch in a standalone dvd player: with chapters, extras, etc.

I need to study these subjects (menu formatting, designing) in my free time. I study and work too. :D

I just awaited some seconds and tried again to work, but thanks anyway for these mirrors, Namara!!

Great work! I was thinking about a similar project, like doing such movies but just for ALL endings, and them hosting them as vcds and a "special" MPEG2 (DVD) encoded version downloadable as .ISO so people could download all endings, burn into a dvd and watch in TV. With menus, "extras" and such. Anyone here know something about copyright issues about doing such a project and hosting it? Can i be sued by Squareenix for doing such a thing?

....anyway interested, Namara? Which emulator are you using to record the movies? I'm still interested in my project.

Who says I am the only person that wants that.

Because I have never seen anyone asking such a thing. You're still the only one to me.

And now you know you can play CT by your PSX emulator. About using it, you can just google around and see how it goes. It's pretty easy.

PLEASE. I am pretty desperate!!!!!!!!!

Why? I can't see a point here. If you are so desperate, use a Playstation Emulator and play the game in your computer. Or PAUSE your SNES gaming session exactly when the movie would appear in PSX version, and open a video player in your pc. It's done.

Doing programs that manipulate those things is not an easy task like reading a html tutorial in half an hour and then hosting it. Second, you are the only person wanting this feature. It's a difficult task, and it's not going to happen.

Again, just a simple question. WHY do you want do such a thing?

Opera is AWESOME.  It's my favorite browser.  I'm glad it's working now.

I used to navigate by firefox, but it's broken somehow in my computer so I started using OPERA, and I'm really happy with it. And now it's free!

About transcoding issues... if you really thing it's a good idea, you can use http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ to do it since its really easy and fast to use.

That is the best idea I've ever heard of.  Thanks.

I'll also see if I can't fix the zip.

I downloaded is again, it's working flawlessly now.  I do believe there's something about download managers, because my second attempt was to download directly by my browser (opera) and I had no problems at all.

I had the file corrupted on first time I downloaded it, now just starting to unrar it

I just had the same problem. I'm going to download it again since I'm afraid it may be my Download Manager.

About the huge sound files and such... why dont you just transcode some music files to low quality ones? It's a demo anyways...

Polling / 1/7/06 - How do you like Chrono Symphonic?
« on: January 18, 2006, 02:22:46 pm »
To me, the only masterpiece there is the firts track. I'm just OK for this project.

Like someone said, their overated "synth" approach wasnt really nice. Sometimes I just think some CT Ressurection songs would be better... BUT their goal was to to a "soundtrack for a movie", and I dont know if others songs would fit in a film.

But I'm not complaining, I know it isnt easy to do such a thing. I was just to much excited BEFORE the release, so when it came it didnt overcome my expectations. Maybe I was just to excited.

A CT MMORPG Its just a MMORPG with Chrono's scenario, weapons and traveling time portals. Everybody keeps fighting with monsters, gain xp, "interact with other players" (yeah, great interaction.), and then stops playing it to finda another MMORPG.

So, to me It wouldnt be different than any MMORPG that exists nowadays in the market. Using "elements" of a game is not truly a sequel. Its not a CT MMORPG: its a MMORPG using CT elements. Its impossible to recreate CT's atmosphere in an online game.

Adium and GTalk are the only IM programs that haven't given me any problems.

The problem is that no everyone use them. :/

I hate msn, but the great majority of people that I talk to only have MS Messenger for conversation.

As for changing names, pictures of others, you can't.

AFAIK, there's a possibility by using MSN Plus, at least for contact names.
