oh thats a good thought. Maybe them interfering with time did somehow cause the porre military to take over. Honestly I think that some of the fans should help write the next Chrono game or at least help with the ideas. You guys have some awsome thoughts.

Why do people say that RD is an alternate dimension that never happened. The main scenario in it fits right in with CT and it is what could have happened if the events that lead to CC never took place. And as far as Magus not being in CC originally they had planned to make the character of Guile magus but changed it later on. It says right here on the Chrono Compendium site:
During the planning stages of Chrono Cross, Guile was intended to be Magus in disguise, accompanying Serge to learn the true fate of his sister Schala. This would have paralelled his role in Radical Dreamers as the mysterious magician Magil. However, as more and more characters were added to the game, the developers felt that it would have been too difficult to represent Magus's story well amongst the sea of other characters. Guile's backstory was removed, and he gained his own identity as a mystifying traveler.
also as far as the town names being different. Lets say that america didn't take over the west from the indians and spain. The names for the towns and states would be comepletely different. If history changes there is no way to tell what names people or towns will have. So maybe General Viper decided to name his town something different in the RD timeline.
So CT happened and in some way or another the events that lead to Schala being thrown into the DBT didn't take place instead she was "reincarnated" into kid and RD happened. However there is a timeline split where She is absorbed by the Time Devourer and the events of CC happen. So yes in a way RD is an alternate dimension but it's still a very feasible and likely one. RD and CC are seperate games and they are both true sequals of CT they are just different parts of the story.

Okay here is my theory on the subject. The Masamune was orignially the red knife. It absorbed Lavos's energy in the mammon machine because they were both made of dreamstone and became the masamune. Then it was stored on Denadoro mountain where people came to know it as a powerful sword. Then Magus comes and people become afraid of his power. They beleive that the power of the Masamune can stop him even though its really not the sword but the user. Then when frog finally gets the masamune its not the swords power but the power and resolve of frog to have vengence for Cyrus's death that allows the Masamune to hurt Magus. This explains all the problems. People try and say that its this huge complex theory when most likely (IMO) the legend developed because people heard that the Masamune was powerful, not knowing that it's not the sword but the user. They just got lucky and the user happened to be frog.

I thought kid was Ausey (dont know how to spell) at first too, but I can see how it could be cockney. It makes sense. Oh and about frog. I think a normal down to business frog is better than the flowerey rennaiance (dont know how to spell sorry) frog, but thats just me.

Hey thats kinda a cool little point. I think its a mix of everything. Square decided that a fairy tale thing would be a good idea. Then the script writers added in the stuff with the frog king frog squash. And they gave him characteristics of a frog like the above poster stated.
At least thats my theory. What the heck do I know.

That would be great i need alot of chipsets for CT and maybe if people have made ones for CC even. I mostly just need characters, faces, and the battle sprites.
