The Chrono Compendium - The '90s called. They said they want their video games back.

am i the only one to notice that half the remixes lead to a section of the encyclopedia?
Yeah, I thought that was weird.

Somebody should seriously mention this on the remix watch column though:

This is really cool. He uses some of the same instrumentals that I used on Chrono Tied that come from the Chrono Trigger Mixtape, produced by Compromised. But all his lyrics are original.

Apparently the music video sync for "Remember the Wind Scene" got pulled down by Warner Music Group for infringing on their "visual content" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41k-7VAn114

I think that's a load of crap, and they didn't even tell me anything - they just had some computer pull my video down. >:-( I worked hard on that! :(

So I've reuploaded without the "visual content" here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gScf3ZzYMSk

I've done some major updates to the web site http://nerd42.net/chronotied/ including uploading FLAC versions of my instrumentals.

I'd appreciate any ideas on how I could promote this further.

I don't have torrent access ATM ... I'd really appreciate it if someone who's serious about seeding could put this out on torrents. If somebody wants to help torrent it, please make sure that it's unzipped and make sure you include all the big trackers in your (single) torrent file so that more people will see it and get it http://forums.torrentbox.com/viewtopic.php?t=24646 and of course SEED SEED SEED

oh and give it a description of course

Site Updates / Re: Chrono Cross Turns TEN!!

My wiki site seems to have been experiencing alot of downtime ... giving people an "Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /home/editthis/www/editthis.info/extensions/mysql.php on line 19
Could not connect" error.

Could whoever runs chronofan.com help host the files and a page for Chrono Tied?? http://nerd42.net/ is on a free host - and you never know how long those are going to last.

I have about 150 MB of bonus content (FLAC versions of the original instrumentals, as in ones that weren't from The Chrono Trigger Mixtape) that I'm also gonna release soon, so this may require about 230 MB in total (giving myself about 20 MB for a web page)

I've been trying to start threads about this on every forum I can think of. This morning I hit OCremix and thasauce.

I would appreciate anybody helping spread the word. :) I could really use an online street team or somethin

Haha, we're taking anything we can get. Have you posted at OCRemix.org yet, by chance? No idea if you'll get trollish replies or not, but it'll get it some more attention.
Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me, I still need to do that.

I have some issues with OCremix - their cliqueish attitude and lack of actual remixing. (they should be called "overclocked arrangements") I make actual video game remixes.

I listened to Fort Minor in Jan. 2006, and now that I've listened to Chrono Tied, these are pretty good mashups. I think my favorite track is There They Go to the Random Battle, followed by the Schala Theory remix (which is haunting; damn, really good way to evoke the kind of feel of Slip Out the Back).
Yeah, but FYI like the track says, the Theory remix is by Theory, not me. :)

I also have a web page up for it at http://nerd42.net/chronotied/

OK, it'll be part of the huge Chrono Cross 10th anniversary update Wednesday! Thanks for making it happen. I made a VGMdb listing:

http://vgmdb.net/album/16335
OK, though this has absolutely nothing to do with Chrono Cross in any way - no Chrono Cross samples, just Chrono Trigger and that's it :)

Chrono Tied audio production is complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now all I've gotta do is little things like liner notes, and I'm also looking at including some bonus content that I've got to get straight before the release.

Sup. I'm laying out the last track right now in FL Studio - getting the different bits of the CT song to loop properly and such.

I am needing some help/advice with one thing, and don't worry, you don't need any musical expertise to help with this. I am looking for a sample of somebody saying the word, "Chrono" - and I don't mean you, or anybody with a PC mike. I mean a sample like from a movie or a video game. I have been looking through Red Alert 2 to find if Einstein ever said the word, "Chrono" ... all I've found so far is Yuri saying it once real quick, and I'm not sure if that'll work. Surely somebody somewhere has said the word, "Chrono" in a quotable context that I can sample.

I could of course just use a text-to-speech program to get the word, but I'd prefer to sample a movie or video game or whatever else because that would sound better right here, as the word "Tide" is sampled from "Gangs of New York." So if anybody can dig me up a sample of somebody saying the word "Chrono" from a moderately famous source that would be cool, thanks. :)
