Nice work. Did you re-translate all this yourself or are you picking out interesting bits from an already re-translated script?

KWhazit is working on the translation.  Here's the link to the translation website:

A friend of mine tried that with some images of the Crystal Monster from Super Mario RPG being in the colloseum in Final Fantasy VI, but for whatever reason, no one believed him.  ._.  I guess GameFAQs people aren't as dense as everyone believes.  Even if the staffers are.  :D

Haha well now that I think about it you're probably right.
Besides this topic was discussed so much when I went to the GameFAQs Chrono Trigger board a few years ago that I doubt they'd believe this.  They probably already state in the stickied FAQ that you can't get Schala as a playable character.

Still awesome though!

Haha well done!
Someone should post this on GameFAQs to start up some conversations.

in the end what still bothers me is that there's no guardia line in the zeal kingdom, in every time period there is. it just makes me wonder, if they ever make a third chrono game they better explain the guardia bloodline somewhat better. :?

Why is the Guardia line so important?

First off there's no proof that Ayla is part of the Guardia line.  No one in 65,000,000 BC calls themselves Guardia.
Let's say that Ayla and Kino are part of the Guardia line.  The line goes on to the future.  So the guardia line does exist in the Zeal Kingdom...    They just weren't King and Queeb of Zeal...   They must've been some regular people that many many years later formed the kingdom of Guardia.

General Discussion / MMOGs
« on: January 31, 2007, 02:49:46 pm »
I hate MMORPG.   It's a total waste of time and money.
you mean MMO most MMORPGs arnt really RPGs

mainly because they lack decent content, the gameplay tends to be ok but they lack decent content and are too much of a grind usually. the MMO that im the main graphic artist for should solve many of these problems though its gonna be a few years till its done and i get goddamn paid.

How are they not RPGs?
There's a lot of content in an MMO game.  Though not a lot of it will permanently affect the world the content and story are still there.  I fail to see how you don't see them as RPGs.  You assume the role of a character and you quest through an online world.   Of course it's different than the traditional non-computer RPGs but I fail to see how you don't classify an MMORPG as an RPG.  In most cases you have more control over the role of your character than you would in an offline RPG.

he would still exist in 600 A.D. because that happened in the past and he traveled to a different time. so if he left and went to another time than what would happen is that those same events in 600 A.D. would happen but he would disappear from that timeline, most likely people said he died. but in the end him traveling back in time wouldn't effect the things he already did.

What?

He's translating the script. I don't think he's added the hundreds of lines he's done for it to ihs site yet.

Sounds good!
I can't wait to read the rest of it.

I've read everything on the Chrono Trigger Retranslation website (http://www.chronotrigger.info/kwhazit/) (as well as the Final Fantasy VI retranslation) and found it very interesting.

I'm hoping he's still working on the project since he hasn't updated recently.

he couldn't have a child during his youth but after he went back in time at the end of the game he could of had some child, because remember he didnt go back to the middle ages. so i stand to reason that eventuly he created the guardia bloodline. it just seems that everytime period has the guardia family except the kingdom of zeal. and you have to edmit both the guardias and zeals have many similarities.

...   And how do you explain the original time line...  Before Crono went back in time and saved the world?
How do you possibly explain that Magus is the ancestor in this case?

I don't have any references to back me up here (I'm just going from memory).  But if I recall I did read awhile ago that recent studies showed that the expansion of the universe isn't slowing down but that it's accelerating.
So that would mean that the universe won't end in a Big Crunch since we're accelerating away from the point of origin...  unless we're already accelerating towards it...

I have'nt played any of the older FF's but i've played FF X and now I'm playing FF X-2. my freind said that the only place you can find the oldr ones is on ebay or used at pawnshops an such. :(

A little off topic:
You could always buy Final Fantasy Chronicle and Anthology.

I really want to play FinalFantasy XII but I don't have my PS2.  =(
An old friend of mine borrowed it and never gave it back...
Oh well I'll just stick to Battlefield 2142 for now.

MODERATOR EDIT: Advocating illegal activities isn't nice.

No, he prefers to use scythes. It's not hard to pick up a sword and use it. Not that I'm saying it is him. It's not. It's just that it's a dumb reason to justify it.

Sigh…

I was only jokingly referring to the fact that each character can only equip one type of weapon…  Of course realistically anyone could pick up the sword…

crap! didnt mean to do that. my computer messed up.
here's what i wrote:

i understand the game i've read like 9 articles, here's what i was saying just because the guardia's and magus live in the same time doesnt mean they couldnt be related.

for example: bob lives in 1005 A.D. and then is displaced by a portal in 203 A.D. and has children which are anscestors of a family bob knew.
as you can see they coexist and are related, and with out that displacement history might change.

if marle had never tried the telepad she and crono never would of married.

so all kinds of different occurences like this could have occured to create the guardia line. so it is possible they could have a relation, by looks, power, and the pendant. it is all very possible. in crono's world that kind of displacment happens. with time travel these instances could occur, i only based the theory off the fact both families had similiar looks power and royal status.

I do not agree with you at all.

Okay so we’re only talking about Magus here.  So you’re saying that he could be the father (or further ancestor) of King Guardia (and Princess Nadia).
So we agree that this would have to be true for both events (i.e. the original history and what happens after Crono changes history).
So let’s just go back here for a second:  Do you agree with me that Janus (when he lived in Zeal) did not father a child and that during the Ocean Palace incident he was sucked in a gate and brought to approximately 580 AD.
So can we agree that he arrives in 580 AD as a child and at this point he isn’t related to Guardia…
But the Kingdom of Guardia already exists…   So how could he possibly be the ancestor?

Not only that but what you’re saying is that he would have traveled back in time to conceive a child that would somehow become the King of Guardia, and then return to 600 AD to continue his plans to summon Lavos.  But Magus didn’t have any control over the time gates…   If he did why wouldn’t he simply go back to the Kingdom of Zeal and try to defeat Lavos there (and save Schala while he’s at it)…   As far as we know Magus couldn’t time travel…  He was stuck in 600 AD.  Even if he could control the time gates why would a character like Magus just time travel to have a child and then return back to 600 AD…

Please explain this to me…

Magic, Elements, and Technology / Re: Creation of the Masamune
« on: January 24, 2007, 08:55:30 am »
I might be wrong (someone correct me if I am) but when Chrono and the others try to get the Masamune, doesn't Masa (or Mune) say something like: "Only Cyrus made it this far."?
So in this case Cyrus was the only one that passed the test and rightfully obtained the Masamune.

So maybe it got the name legendary/mythical from the fact that no one ad been able to pass the test and wield it.
