Conceptual Framework of the Nature of Time
« on: July 03, 2005, 02:57:47 am »
I have done it.  After a series of sleepless nights, I have formulated a conceptual framework of the nature of time that incorporates all aspects of the Chrono series universe, including multiple timelines, the darkness beyond time, the end of time, time games, and the transcendental nature of various entities and locations.  My framework resolves virtually all of the paradoxes inherent in the Chrono series.   (Admittedly, the resolution of the Guardia royal line paradox complicates matters slightly, but not to the point of inelegance.)

What remains is for me to write down all of my thoughts in an organized and concise manner.  I will soon post my axioms, corollaries, and definitions concerning the nature of time, space, and events.  If the feedback I receive is positive, I will continue to expand my work.

Stay tuned!

good for you but i bet $50 i can find a flaw and im good at finding flaws i already messed up 5 religions by finding flaws that shattered the whole thing so ill be expecting that $50

I like your attitude!  :D  Honestly, I want people to try to pick it apart. There are bound to be some holes, but none that I won't be able to patch up.

(BTW, which five religions?)

Edit:  After trying unsuccessfully for 30 minutes to describe the Chrono universe (henceforth, the "Universe") in terms of mathematical definitions and axioms, I have decided that my first step will be to convey my ideas using analogies.  This will make things easier both for the casual reader, and for me, since I can simply outline the thoughts that led me to my framework in the first place.

I'll be interested to see this framework.  While I can't claim to have sniped down five separate religions (and I'd like to see the proof of that too), I am good at picking apart theories.

However, there are people here who do understand mathematical ideation, such as Daniel, Leebot, GrayLensman, J esq, and me.  I'd be appreciative if you'd post both the math and the conceptual reasoning.

What, you don't like what we already have?  I'd be interested in seeing it as well.  Show us what you got :)

This sounds interesting.....tell us about it soon please!  :D

Maybe if it's good enough it'll go into the Compendium Archives!

Was that sarcastic?

My dad is always trying to find weak point in "remake" of old movie and he came up with that.

The force is the only magic that can be used to block laser bullets with a 1 inch laser sword and never forsee a 100 foot spacial vessel over you.

taken for the second movie I think

100 foot?  Try 1600 meter (one mile).  Or in the case of the Executor, a whopping 17.6 km (eleven miles).

Long as I'm around, you ain't pickin' the Force apart.  :p

But anyway, let's see the new theory!

I didn't have much time to write today.  It's a-coming though.  I will definitely have it online by the end of the day.  (It want to post it before Zeality returns.)

Well, try to do a little setting stuff on fire.  It is Independence Day, after all (at least where I live).

One:  What a fun and interesting coming-back present.
Two:  All I can say is that you're an extremely efficient person.  Within just a week or two of being registered, you came up with what is essentially a superstring theory for Chrono Trigger.  Rock on.
