Forum going haywire on me. Help?
« on: August 16, 2008, 05:56:42 pm »
There is no troubleshooting catagory here so I am going to roll the dice and put it here.

I was curious as to where I got songs by someone named bLiNd as they are Chrono Trigger with realistic instruements and each time I posted it gave me different messages each time.  It was totatlly like weird.

I manually copied and pasted the songs from my PC as there is no upload feature and it said it couldn't except mp3s THEN I minus one of them and it accepted the mp3s but said I was double posting.   Then I erased ALL of the mp3s and it still said I was double posting so I checked the main pace in Chrono General discussion but IT WASN'T THERE!!!!!!!!  WTF?   I don't get it?

This is sooo weird but then again electronics seem to go haywire alot when I am near them.

So you're trying to upload MP3's to a post? I'd just try to do it again . . . if it STILL doesn't work then I'd vote on a forum bug of some kind . . .

heh thats something I been mentioning for awhile now. This forum doesn't have an embedding feature, so sorry no MP3s. I recommend hosting it else where and linking there.

The forums don't allow MP3 uploads, and most MP3s would be too big to upload anyway. Sorry, but you'll just have to upload them somewhere else and link to them.

Are the songs the same as the Chrono Trigger Remake Project we have?

I wasn't aware that embedding took up space, in fact I'm sure it doesn't. Just to be clear I not talking about the uploads like with some pictures or text file.

Code: [Select]
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hOmgIZZuI68&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hOmgIZZuI68&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I was under the impression he was "copying" the mp3s to the forum using the upload feature.

Upon rereading the post I think your right, That I understand has a size limit to it. So I guess the solution is still hosting it else where and linking to it. I do think this is a fair request that when ever the next forum maintenance occurs(a week or a month it doesn't matter) find some way to get the [flash=200,200][/flash ] tags working and some [spoiler][/spoiler] tags.

Flash has too many possible security implications.
