So what do you want me to do with these doujinshi scans?
« on: September 14, 2009, 08:56:56 pm »
Hi y'all. I haven't completely dropped off the face of the earth (just a little bit), nor have I forgotten my promise to scan the doujinshi I won from CuteLucca. (Along with the few that were already in my collection.) :3
I've only gotten three scanned so far, but the rest are sitting by my scanner glaring at me. :o

So, what section d'ya want 'em in, and what file host do you recommend? (I scanned them at around 800dpi, so they're kinda big. Just a little bit. )

(Oh, and regarding the state of my doujinshi collection--I have a duplicate now! :o It's this one. It has no pr0nz, only chibi cuteness. Who wants it and how badly? :B )

P.S. I think my scanner's contrast has gotten FUBAR'd. HALP. D: It's fine for b&w, but color dies and refuses to be bothered by my sliding dials and such. TT^TT

Don't do Megaupload or rapidshare. Megaupload has a very annoying bandwidth cap (can only download so many per day) and rapidshare tends to be quite slow. You could just photobucket them, or something similar.

Does that chibicute duplicate have Magus in it? If so, I want it. Badly.

Photobucket would be crap for hosting the big for-scanlation-I-hope-plz-plz-plz files, but would be fine for smaller, Average Joe Internet sizes. I think I'll start an account for that tonight. ^w^

It does indeed have Magus in it! :3
7 pages of Magus, out of 38 total.

Edit: Okay, have made a photobucket for the doujinshi, it's http://www.photobucket.com/ctdoujinshi and the guest password is the name of this site, with no spaces or www..com. Have only just started uploading, but feel free to follow it if you've got a PB account of your own. It needs friends. :3

Edit2: Have upped all that I've scanned so far, will be adding more this week. And have dumped a bunch of higher-res Magus crops in the front album for you, Zephira! :D Will also be adding to that as I go along. XD

Pandor you're awesome. But, I have a question!
CuteLucca had a few scanlations up, but her site is gone. did anyone save those (particularly Waltz of the Wind)?

Oh, snap. All of CL is gone, including those scanlations/translations, huh? Oh man. Well, I imagine CL has them on her hard drive at least *crosses fingers*. Maybe ZeaLitY might have archived them or something too. We should get cracking on this soon to preserve the translation work. If nobody else has them, we'll see if we can get copies from CL.

..Oh yeah. I always forget about that thing. Thanks Vehek!
I'll save these scans and their translations, just in case.
(Tokimeki Netsu Shisen is the best one)

Annoyingly, some of the images didn't get archived. (Last 14 pages of Tokimeki Netsu Shisen, for example). I think I have the Ocean palace part, but probably not the others.

Edit: Missing pages (What I know so far)

Blue 2
-Last 8 pages

CT World 2
-Last 10 pages

Cross Across
-Pages 32, 33, 35, 38, 39, back page

Mirai Yosouzu (Future Forecast)
-CT side pages 28, 22
-FF side pages 4, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18

Hajimete Yomu Chrono Trigger (Introductory Chrono Trigger)
-Pages 25, 26, 27, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 43
-Last webpage with the last 8 pages is missing.

Blue 1 / No Fate
- Webpages beyond the first 20 scans are missing

Awesome thinking Vehek. Yeah, the Wayback Machine almost solves all problems. If we can narrow down what's missing (the Compendium should archive it probably, but I'm not sure if ZeaLitY's already gotten around to these) then we can approach CL for the rest.

Or Pandor could scan them. The translations are still there, just not the pictures. Although asking CL would mean less work for Pandor. Though those scans are kinda small...

As I have all of these doujinshi in my possession now, I will be scanning everything, (and at a higher resolution) so missing pages are not really an issue. And if all the translation is there, I can work on applying them to my scans, if that interests people.

Edit: What Zephira said. :D You needn't ask CL for the pages, 'cause I'm just gunna scan em all, anyhow. :)

We're lucky that only one of the translated doujinshis is missing any webpages.

I'm going to check the wayback machine to see if it might have them in an earlier or later archive version of the site...
Bummer, nothing. :(

Sweeeet. Someone's gotta snatch that once the 503 Service Error stops.
