But on a serious note, is it not said at the campfire that the Entity's "life experiences are flashing before its eyes" as it's in its dying throes, or something to that effect? It would seem that the Entity must be something seriously threatened by Lavos, and the planet itself fits the bill (I personally subscribe to a bizarre Nu-related theory, but the planet is canon per Kato's vision; I saw the writing on the wall cigarette lighter).

and also they never mentioned that the entity was the one who created the gates (correct me if im mistaken). in 65 million BC they come to the conclusion that its lavos who made them.

so how is it possible for the planet to make gates?

We do not have a mechanistic explanation of that, just as we don't have a detailed explanation on how magic works. But in any event, the planet is capable of "dreaming" and creating Gates. Its capacity for temporal powers is supported in Chrono Cross through the pulling of Dinopolis.

I think Dreamstone probably has something to do with it. I mean, the Pendant interacting w/the Telepod is (seemingly) what started the whole mess for Crono & Co. That along w/the fact that Doreen, Masa, & Mune also (seemingly, again) come from Dreamstone (or at least Dreamstone refined artifacts?) seems to suggest that it has some pretty outstanding qualities, yes? Not to mention the fact that some of said artifacts seem to absorb magic...and where's Dreamstone come from? That's right, the planet...that's always made me believe that the trio are perhaps the Entity's stooges or something...*shrugs*

EDIT: Oh yeah, and like everyone knows, this whole "player=Entity" theory is one of the oldest (and easiest to debunk, as ZeaLitY proved already)...
