What sort of way are you playing Z? Perfectionist, or waiting-to-win?

I'm trying to make sure I get all the rare items, because I can't guarantee that I'll play it again any time soon. I could kick myself for not getting Zell's card on Disc 1.

I'm stuck at Fisherman's Horizon. Zell asks me why I didn't tell that old geezer off, and then I can't talk to him or exit the area in front of the mayor's house. I can go see Martine, but the scene repeats itself after I return to that area.

Hmm, you talked to the mayor yet? And if you did, go to Garden and check things around there.

Funny, I had this same problem. I can't remember what to do, though. >_<

You just have to walk down out of that area instead of over (even though it appears you must walk left).

A concert? Hell yes. I hope I get to put Zell on screaming lead guitar. I was so pumped when Cid announced the "journey" and Zell ditched the hot dog line after getting freaking pumped himself. I'm happy with FF8's maturity level. We've got assassination, gloom, death, cursewords...it's the whole thing, and it's being kept tasteful. It rules.

Zell RULES. If I could live half the way he does, I'd be on top of everything.

I've never seen someone so psyched about FF8 before.

Yeah Zell rules, but Laguna is ten thousand times better.

Zell seems to have a tad more intelligence than Laguna. It's sometimes tough to get attached to Laguna and crew because they're all basically army jeeps.

True, but Desperado is so damn cool!

Yeah, I saw that the other day. Laguna is the original renegade.

Laguna's story and personality are awesome. If the game was centered on him primarily rather than on Squall, I'm sure the game would have been as interesting... If one day Square wants to make FFVIII spinoffs (might not be a good idea, but...), Laguna would surely star in at least one game.

You think Laguna would be in the next one cause he had a good story line.

More like, not that much of a storyline. He has plenty of backstory that is never mentioned. That could make a cool game. Much like...

Quote from: SPOILER!
having Laguna and crew fight Adel

...which is something I really wished they had put in, because...

Quote from: SPOILER AGAIN!
the only fight against Adel is stupid because you are unable to use you all-range attacks, (like summons for example.)

Gah, she was hard Nightmare. Fuck that took me ages.

Haha, I love when Zell gets pumped and screams shit out. Awesome.

Too true. But how can you compare Zell and Laguna? And why haven't we talked about Irvine yet? He's the original gun slinging womanizer!
