Are you sure Schala doesn't fit in Robo's graphics? Robo is the largest character and he doesn't have any "halved" animations like Frog and Ayla, so there should be enough place. For her weapon, she could use magic beams or stuff like that (like Edea in FFVIII). Of course, the hardest part even when you've done all her sprites, is to cut them in small squares and paste them over the disorganized Robo slots... but it's not impossible.

........The pallete colors don't match.  And even when I use the palette changer and find the palettes for them and change them then save.  It doesn't save them =/  But the problem with magic beams and stuff is, what animation would it use =/ and what type of weapons would she have

Well with Schala, you are going to have to do some custom sprites. She doesn't have alot of animations is in the game. Or you could just be really redundant. You have to change robo's palette to Schala's using SNESPal. I learned to do that from the tutorial on how to replace the character portraits. http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Changing_the_status_menu_portraits.html. Granted if you are going to put schala in the game I recommend replacing Marle or Lucca. I think that would be easier than trying to match up animations with Robo. Now I would replace Robo with Antropos XR. Just for the simple fact that you could just change the pallete. She wouldn't have her bow, but thats not a big deal. She doesn't have one in the pre-release anyway. Robo to Antropos XR is probably the easiest character replacement.

Yes it is, i was alos thinking of putting schala into magus's position considering there colors r the closest to match.

Seriously though. Changing colors shouldn't be a problem. You can use the techniques from this tutorial.

Yeah, changing the palette is possible, and changing the attack animations is also possible. The hardest is to cut-paste the new sprites over the old sprite graphics...

It's not really that complicated. Ayla to Kino was super easy.

As we finish these character replacements we may want to consider releasing them in patches. This is a time consuming process, we could really help by sharing.

It's not really that difficult.  I think i ahve one of Lucca but she's gonna need some editing and stuff.  I'll probably release a patch or the actual rom tonight or something if im bored.

But how do you change the colors of a sprite so that it saves correctly? If you change the LoadSprite in TF and re-change it, the colors will be somehow reverted to the original palette :/
