On the other hand, the rover is indifferent in its mission.

No use getting upset over it.  It's just doing its job.

Hey, what's the use of art if you can't personify? Applying personality to a rover might not be logically sound, but it's still fun. The real kicker here is how the people at NASA can use an image from a scientific survey of Mars to evoke feelings of desolation, despair, and loneliness. Who knew the government's favourite scientists would be great artists, too?
Try to reach for the hypothetical and think of it as something like WALL-E.

Yes, except WALL-E developed a personality, unlike the other hundreds of thousands of look-alikes around him who slowly ceased to function due to them and their perpetual state of programmed monotony:

Collect.  Compact.  Accumulate.  Repeat Ad Infinitum.

Not WALL-E, though.  Through his irrational love and the bug of curiosity in his circuitry, he defeated his life's proverbial (and literal) programming and was able to bring everyone back to earth to recolonize and truly live, not just survive out in space.

Desolation, despair, and loneliness?  The Rover is all that, but it's no WALL-E.

That was a really sad comic..  :(  I tend to personify inanimate objects (my computer, my parent's cars, even silly things like pens haha), so that made it all the more sad.

Apparently imagination is lost on you, sir. A shame. Hopefully this will be more up your alley: http://cdn-www.i-am-bored.com/media/weirdmotorcyclegang.jpg

Whatever do you mean?

I'm a very imaginative person.  How else would I be an effective  and prospecting writer of fiction for screen and television?

As for the motorcycle gang... yes, indeed.  They ARE weird.

How insulting...  :(

You know nothing of my screenwriting abilities.  Float over to my SoY thread and see for yourself.

Ha, someone posted that in other place several days ago.
I just can't stand any chance without out getting confused since the screen spins like crazy. LOL

Guess the Air Force didn't want their simulated brain to suffer from Red-Ringitus.

On the other hand, it can now play Blu-Ray discs.

It is said that a cat's whiskers are used to measure.
But it is suspicious since there are always cats trapped in small space.

HAHAHA, little Ahab! Damn right, I'm going to inquire about the price of this fine artwork! (Eventually!)

Before that, I'm going to go sit on an exercise bike for three hours while studying Czech at the gym. Time fucking management. If I can't jog or play racquetball and still do something else constructive simultaneously, then I'll find something just as efficient that lets me do so. The springtime of youth.  :kamina
